55 yr old PATRICIA PARKER ADKISSON'S puppy mill was raided in june 2008. 700+ animals were found living, dead and dying on 92 acres of filth and misery. adkisson has a long history of running puppy mills but has managed to skate on technicalities dating back to 1999. but not this time. last week adkisson received a 10 year prison sentence and a life time ban on owning or working with animals. now THAT is an appropriate sentence!

I just saw the story on Animal Planet. Maybe living in a small cell for 10 years will give her an idea what it was like for the animals she penned up. Unfortunately, she will not know what it is like to live with filthy and be hungry. Sick, sick, sick woman.
Great sentence!!! She needs to pay for the deaths and the pain of the innocent animals!
I just hope she will feel just a little bit pain as she made the poor animal feels. She cannot go away soon enought from this world. People like her, makes this world an ugly place to live sometimes..
Unfortunately she will NOT actually spend time in a prison cell. I believe she will serve 5 years in a "community corrections setting" and then 5 years of probation. It is rare that these people will ever spend one day in jail. This sentence would be appropriate is just a few animals had been involved but to me, the collective suffering of literally THOUSANDS of animals that had been either neglected, starved or raised to die in her care for a profit deserves much more than this sentence.
