Congrats to DBO for telling it like it is, in the face of relentless bullying from those who would rather keep the facts hidden.

Wow, is is very hard to believe all you've accomplished in 4 short years! Your website is a treasure trove of information and research. And for the longest time, the ONLY source of information about pit bulls. Sites are proliferating now as more people become aware of the danger we're in and want to do something about it.

Thank you ever so much!

Indeed, "treasure trove" is right. Unlike some pretentiously named sites we could mention, DBO is not merely the editorial opinion of one person, but a clearinghouse of solid research articles and studies by a diverse group of reputable organizations and individuals.

GREAT PIT OWNER EXCUSES IN HISTORY:

Repeat offender Jason English uses the ol' "Someone must have unlocked the Gate" while I was sleeping excuse....

The owner of a pit bull that killed a poodle in St. John's in early October says it isn’t his fault that his dog was loose that day.

Jason English, 31, was charged Friday with a violation of the Dog Act for having an animal off a leash and outside of a pen.

English told CBC News Monday that he was asleep at home when the attack happened. He said he left the dog in his backyard behind a fence, with the gate secured by a rope

GREAT PIT BULL ADVOCACY MOMENTS IN HISTORY:

October 12, 2011:

The Nutters at MSPCA publish this apology piece:

http://www.thebostonchannel.com/r/29467338/detail.html

The very next day, Jade and Jasper, two pitties placed by the MSPCA Nevins Farm trafficking facility, go beserk, almost kill each other and bite their owner. The two misunderstood wigglebutts are euthanized due to the extensive injuries.

Always sad when a once fine organization becomes Pit radicalized...

A perfect example of why Dogsbite.org exists:

"Wonder what they're going to do with the 4 new pitbulls our idiot Animal Shelter let the Hardiman's adopt a few days after their previous four killed Margie?"

I would like to add a thank you to dogsbite.org. I stumbled across the site a couple of years ago while looking for details of an attack that happened in VA. I was stunned at the statistics of these dogs. I live in a neighborhood that is crawling with these vermin, the local shelters are more than half full of pit bulls and mixes. I have children and walk a lot. I'm so glad the information is out there, in spite of the pit advocates. THANK YOU SO MUCH DOGSBITE !!!!
