Are pit bulls difficult to acquire? Do they irreplaceably enhance society? Are they rare gems of attractiveness, cultivated like fabulous orchids? Do they represent a strata of outstanding, admirable people that make or leave the world a better or happier place? Please explain, I have a 17 lb poodle, I love him, as does everyone who knows him, yet I have yet to declare my pride in him--he's just a nice dog, and does nothing otherwise for my ego. The world is replete with them. ---And we that love them feel no need to defend them.SadFaladahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17968323254262353173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4325894281523642428.post-32761076258103637572013-06-18T13:04:36.362-07:002013-06-18T13:04:36.362-07:00you are either a fucking idiot or a liar. choose y...you are either a fucking idiot or a liar. choose your poison.scurrilous amateur bloggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00575387156203723911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4325894281523642428.post-73967049168210047462013-06-18T11:32:46.761-07:002013-06-18T11:32:46.761-07:00This is all very sad. The American Pitbull terrier is no more or less violent a dog than a great dane, Shiba Inu, Akita, Cane Corso, Lab, or other medium-large breed dog. The frequency with which it happens should be attributed to the owner, solely, and not the dog. A poodle can be just as violent as a "Pitbulll." Of course, the likelihood of being killed by a poodle is slim to nil, based on the size of the animal. The true American Pit Bull, of which I am a proud owner, is a true breed (as opposed to the mixed breed Pit Bully which is often portrayed in tv and film) which is loyal, obedient, and can be as docile as any other dog with proper training. Likewise, any dog, left to its own "feral" desires has the propensity to bite and even kill.Consummately Ineffablehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02933984367268524043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4325894281523642428.post-84670617973280560782011-01-23T13:38:28.004-08:002011-01-23T13:38:28.004-08:00Service dog maulings especially bother me. They are very vulnerable. They cannot see a pit bull or aggressive dog, so they cannot take preventative action. Once the attack happens, they cannot help as well as a sighted person. They must try to help frantically or rely upon others, all the while listening to their beloved animal, that makes their life possible, shreiking in agony.

This seems to happen quite a bit in the UK. To add insult to injury over there, a citizen cannot even so much as carry a small pocket knife that has a locking mechanism. However, people can walk about with their mutants.DubVhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14367764785422714196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4325894281523642428.post-47101912217127223692011-01-22T10:40:47.661-08:002011-01-22T10:40:47.661-08:00your welcome. i try to control my anger over these...your welcome. i try to control my anger over these situations by having fun with the nutters. it's a healthy release. i will chronicle another one of these plunkers in next week's roundup.scurrilous amateur bloggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00575387156203723911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4325894281523642428.post-9690550301614958232011-01-22T10:39:54.109-08:002011-01-22T10:39:54.109-08:00I just want to comment on the tragic mauling of th...I just want to comment on the tragic mauling of the SAR dog, Rocky. I have read a few other accounts in the news, and there is really no evidence that the neighbors HO insurance company will reimburse Rocky's owner for the 35K in vet bills. The neighbor CLAIMS his insurance will cover it, but I will guarantee that the insurer will fight the claim. This neighbor had multiple pit bulls, its likely that the insurer had no knowledge of them; its very hard to get coverage for a home with one pit bull, much less multiple. I think the neighbor wanted to avoid negative media attention by telling the owner that, "yeah, don't worry, my insurance will take care of it". I would love to see a follow up story that confirms this actually happens.

I think Rocky's owner will be left high and dry.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4325894281523642428.post-12607042897718619792011-01-21T21:33:24.532-08:002011-01-21T21:33:24.532-08:00Thank you for the synopsis of Brady Walterman'...Thank you for the synopsis of Brady Walterman's life ending with dropping the soap.

Our pets are being sacrificed up to these things. when are people going to get it?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4325894281523642428.post-21457025436767753122011-01-21T16:25:00.712-08:002011-01-21T16:25:00.712-08:00I wonder why every pit nutter looks like a refugee...I wonder why every pit nutter looks like a refugee from some cheezy crime reality show. Expediency asks the question, 'Is it politic?' Vanity asks the question, 'Is it popular?' But, conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?' And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because one's conscience tells one that it is right."scurrilous amateur bloggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00575387156203723911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4325894281523642428.post-33429743864158626572011-01-21T12:42:50.400-08:002011-01-21T12:42:50.400-08:00"Pits aren't the only vicious spawn that ..."Pits aren't the only vicious spawn that need culling."

Bravo! That's what I find ironic about clowns like Dickson, the nitwit in the previous topic that quotes Voltaire; "AN IDEAL FORM OF GOVERNMENT IS DEMOCRACY TEMPERED WITH ASSASSINATION."

Never mind how Dickson sounds like a chip off the loony block of the Arizona shooter, but exactly what kind of people does Dickson think would be assassinated during bouts of anarchy? No question - good people would be taking out the trash, meaning Dickson and his kind.

A better quote than anything Voltaire ever said: "Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." ~ Martin Luther King Jr

How can we not think of the pit bull advocacy in the context of MLK's words?
