one of the 3 people who read my blog sent this to me in the hopes that i would share it with the other two readers. ENJOY!
"I was driving east bound on a busy street when I saw 2 adult women with a big goofy lab carrying a toy in its mouth. They were walking in the same direction as I was travelling. I crested a small hill and then a second hill and I saw this young girl heading west with her pit bull. I happened to have my video camera and I filmed her as I drove by. I was armed with more than just a camera and I turned around and headed back towards what I feared could have been an ugly collision course between the pit bull and the labrador retriever. Thankfully the girl turned north at the next street and the two parties remained oblivious to each other, at least that day."
get those cameras people and send me your photos!
Whoah! It's a photo of a Best Friends Animal Sanctuary Pit Bull Promoter
ReplyDeleteout to do the business that Best Friends (and their pit bull breeder friends) approve of- kill other pets, little kids, grandmas.
Remember the pit bull that pulled an ADULT female owner (on its leash) in front of an oncoming train?
ReplyDeleteThe parent of this child should be reported to DSS.
looks like a well behaved dog to me, I see no pulling, unlike some other dogs I see all the time. and see that harness? that will prevent the dog from pulling the girl if he decides to run after a squirrel. because that is an easy walk harness. my dog has one just like it. believe me it works.
ReplyDeleteI could show you so many pictures of young kids (about the age of the girl in that picture) walking dogs they have no business walking. they get pulled nonstop down the street. one of the dogs is a boxer. another a lab. another a chow chow mix. another a saint Bernard. one a golden retriever.
all these dogs have 1 thing in common. none of their owners trained them. it is their owner's fault they can't walk their dog without being dragged down the street like a fool.
Terrible idea!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter what breed of dog, a child not capable of controlling it should never hold the leash.
The general stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me.
Oh, besides me and P., who is your other reader (surely you don't count yourself ;) )?
for the most part, i agree with you frank. whether it is a rottweiler, or a great dane or a chow or a german shepherd or a malamute, a child has no business walking a large powerful breed, let alone THE most powerful breed.
ReplyDeleteand btw frank, i'm glad your'e back. you are actually more palatable than the rescue angels like psycho anon, who thinks that you can train out the genetic heritage of the american pit bull terrier. adults prove time and time again that they can not control the apbt. except for a disgust with blood sports, i share nothing in common with the rescue angels.
once again, you crack me up! when did I say you can train genetics out? loose leash training is not "training out" DA; management is the key in that regard. keeping the dog under your control.
ReplyDeleteand actually, I know for a fact I can handle an APBT, because I walk my neighbor's all the time. I trained him to walk on a loose leash, just like my GSD. the one I walk BTW, is 4, and not one smidgen of DA. he lives with a scruffy terrier and a dachshund.
and would you object to a young child walking a chi, toy poodle, or any other small breed dog? probably not, because what could they do? how old is old enough to manage a powerful breed like the ones you mentioned? 13? 14? 15? 16? when you are old enough to have your own dog?
They are the apbt's enemy, much more than any animal rights nut or activist or schlogger.
ReplyDeleteAnd to the anon poster above....in what world do you live in where harnessed dog can't pull as hard as they want, "easy walk harness" or not? I always preferred a harness over a 2 inch collar because they can pull more evenly while walking, really digging in if they get worked up.
Crave, I hate to admit it, but I'm starting to see some of where you come from. Until I came across this schlog, I'd never encountered one of these rescue nut jobs.
The lies these idiots try to spread put more people in danger I'm sure than claiming the dogs are inherently dangerous (which some are, if not properly managed).
that 'easy walk harness' is a training tool, just as is a prong or slip collar. I used one on my GSD because of her high prey drive with squirrels. now that I have that under control, she walks nicely on a flat buckle collar. certain harnesses prevent pulling, like this one, just as other harnesses encourage pulling, such as weight pull harnesses. what world do you live in that you don't know about that?
ReplyDeletewhy would you want your dog to pull you on a walk? I mean really.
" that will prevent the dog from pulling the girl"
ReplyDeleteAnd this is why you call yourself psycho anon BECAUSE YOU ARE NUTS!
You are 100 percent DELUSIONAL if you believe that, and it is nut jobs like you that are responsible for so many of these deadly attacks. You are living in a fantasy world, and people like you are dangerous, and encouraging other people to do dangerous things while you pose as an expert.
An expert moron.
But we have found out what kind of a fraud you are. Another one of these dog trainer frauds trying to make themselves feel important by the stream of know-it-all itis and training tips.
I hope you are reporting your training income as well, because the tax man is going to nail you some day, especially when one of your "traineees" bites someone.
Pretending to be a dog trainer is one of the little hidey holes for the stupid and incompetent to hide out in, and you just flushed yourself out.
Another dope.
The dog fighter has more sense than you do.
"Crave, I hate to admit it, but I'm starting to see some of where you come from. Until I came across this schlog, I'd never encountered one of these rescue nut jobs."
ReplyDeleteWell frank, I have to say that at least you have the balls to call a moron a moron here
This middle-class jerkoff "psycho anon" is out marketing themselves as a dog trainer and actually telling clueless people this garbage. And setting up a mauling.
There are a million of these hopeless middle-class idiots, rejects from the human world, trying to feel self-important by claiming they understand dog behavior. They don't have the slightest clue.
Who cares if they can walk on a leash, just stop them from killing and maiming other creatures.
ReplyDeleteyou know, I have better things to do than have you make false claims about me. I am in no way a trainer, and I never said I understood dog behavior. I was just saying I have had experience with this harness the girl is wearing, and I know it works. I have seen it work on pit bulls, GSDs, dobes, and other powerful breeds.
ReplyDeleteI am not the one living under a rock, you are. I can't believe you don't know about this harness. look it up, it does work.
there is no changing an idiot, and you just get more stupid and outrageous with every reply to me, so I feel sorry for you. you will never know the truth. shame really.
psycho anon, get a freaking job. Try to integrate with society, because you are getting yourself marginalized into a hole.
ReplyDeleteYou trainer nuts all sound the same. The same endless preaching as though you even have a clue.
Well, the next dog you "train" that ends up biting someone is going to get you into a courtroom, so you better think twice about your dog training efforts.
Meet Tina Agerson...who's wigglebutt outmatched her during a walk with a pink leash.

Meet 12 year old Terrence and his GCC pencil whipped Pit Bull named Elmo...The article failed to mention the man killed at the Pit Bull breeding operation in Chicago a couple of weeks ago!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.humanesociety.org/news/news/2010/01/pit_bull_graduation_012510.html
i see the pit bull training team failed to educate young terrence about the importance of removing elmo's testicles. that should be a requirement to pass the class.

ReplyDeletethe photographer
That Pit Bull TRaining Team (Jeff Jenkins isn't it?) is involved with Cherie Travis who is Commissioner of Animal Control in Chicago, where that man was just killed by his daughter's pit bulls.
ReplyDeleteThe pro-breeder Jenkins comes in and "evaluates" dogs at Chicago Animal Control (why is a private business making decisions about taxpayer-owned dogs?)
Jenkins is also feeding pro-fighting dog propaganda to Travis to mouth and repeat.
Cherie Travis just did the coverup, and is hiding the fact that the killer dogs are pit bulls
So Chicago Animal Control is involved with Jeff Jenkins, who is clearly encouraging pit bull breeders to keep their dogs intact and KEEP BREEDING FIGHTING DOGS!
Our tax dollars at work!
Chicago Animal Control is also giving dogs to Chicago Bully Rescue, or whatever its name is.
Chicago, you have a lawsuit coming, thanks to Cherie Travis, supporter of fighting dog breeders!
Meet Gino who was being walked by a 17 year old owner's teen age girl friend....Pittsburgh A/C says Gino will get the needle, especially since his owner doesn't play for the Steelers.

You should put that photo description under the photo!
ReplyDeletegood idea.
ReplyDeleteThis whole mess started when the Animal Welfare Act of 1976 passed and some of the old tyme dog fighters got out of "the game" and started selling the dogs to the public.
ReplyDeletePit Attacks have escalated geometrically since.
Time to shut it all down....
So, you want pictures. Will you post pictures of positive things as well? I saw an elderly lady bend over to pet a Pit Bull the other day and the older male Pit Bull gently kissed her face. It was very sweet.
