the 100 stupidest things pitters say about their dogs . ie : shitsbulls are just sweet and loving family pets. ...dont worry my pitbull doesnt bite but he might lick you to death. my pitbull is harmless but he would defend me with his life. well . you get the gist .
Snarky, Don't forget "pit bulls were known as nanny dogs"... oops, the nanny dog just ripped of the kid's scalp... "well, you NEVER leave ANY dog along with a child"
There is always "well, pit bulls might have dog aggression but a well bred pit will never bite a human because manbiters were culled. You had to be able to handle the dog in the pit, you know"...
the first chapter is available to read in the kindle edition and there is sample chapter on craven but i seem to be having trouble locating it. i will post the link later when i find it.
"There is always "well, pit bulls might have dog aggression but a well bred pit will never bite a human because manbiters were culled. You had to be able to handle the dog in the pit, you know"..."
Notice how convoluted and overly complex and ad hoc seeming this reasoning is compared to a direct statement like "dogs created to kill other dogs for no reason will likely be more dangerous on average to all living things, and likely cause special problems in a country of many dog owners".
this book is a must read for so many reasons!!! The lay out is great, myths and facts pointed out, and nice short chapters, you can read the whole book, or just the chapters that interest you.
A very fine book! This should be required reading for dog owners.

ReplyDeletePit Bullian logic:
ReplyDelete"Pit Bulls were never bred to bite humans despite killing 408 of them"
Intentional pun on bullian logic? I think it should catch on.
ReplyDeletedubv, most people don't realize it but vintage is the master at clever pit bullian terminology.

Despite assurances from Cherie Travis that Pit Bull attacks are rare, Pit bulls produce 732 "bites" or 40 percent of all animal bites in the city.
