  1. I froze the video a few times and it looks to me like that white pit bit the policeman twice.

  2. i froze that video a few times too and it looks to me like the white one is actually a shaved poodle.

  3. This story first went out without the video, so, of course, the police were blamed for shooting the innocent doggie.

In other area news, Ketchum, Idaho... A Staffordshire pit was poisoned and "died several days after eating meat it came across during a walk with its owner."

LOL... I guess somebody got tired of them bringing a free range pit bull around to graze in their neighborhood. Gotta wonder how many cats and cockers it bagged before the neighborhood decided to help feed it.

  4. CopCam, what a fabulous invention. Leaves the pitters zero wiggle room. I did read a story on this where the reporter indicated that the officer's mace can, still on his belt, had the imprint of the pit's teeth. Yes, the dog made contact. Great and justified shooting officer!!!!

Dude, thanks for the update on Ketchum Idaho. Suspect your analysis is correct.

  5. I love happy endings.

Why is it pit nutters always ask, "What are you doing?!" when people protect themselves against an attacking pit bull?

    It's obvious to everyone else.

  6. The US has sustained 25 Pit Bull DBRFs in the last 362 days.

    Who knows how many maulings...

  8. Thanks for sharing, Snack!

    WOW

"I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart that that police officer had to deal with that," O'Hare said. "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. I wish I could take it back."

Could it be...a completely appropriate, sympathetic reaction from a pit bull owner whose dog has been shot by police...?

    How refreshing, Mr. O'Hare!

  9. Wow, shows nutters how terrifying their dogs are to normal people. This first person video reminds me of the video game Doom, which was famous for being scary as hell.

  10. Dawn, it looked more like a shaved Pomeranian (like the famous Boo) to me.

What a frightening video. Just listening to it and you hear the dogs barking change into the frenzy of the attack.

Oddly enough I was in Nampa, ID last week.

  11. The comments on the Facebook page, ‘Dogs-Shot-By-Police,’ are freakin’ priceless. Let’s see how well this Bag O’ Morons does with their assumptions BEFORE the video was released to the public.

Lorie Sturgill Elswick: What can we do to stop these power crazed criminals passing as police. Serve and protect? My ass.....I just do not understand why there are not more people, citizens raising hell. Omg, I don't know what to do, but I want to do something

Ilona Abdel Hamid: KILLERS, KILLERS, KILLERS, KILLERS, KILLERS, KILLERS!!!

Jasin Canfield: teach dogs to shoot back!

Pauline Johns-Matchiwita Moon: hummmm, attacked but no injuries... interesting

Carla Jean Page: shame on you nampa idaho police!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i don,t have any respect for anyone including a rogue thug cop shooting innocent dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carla Jean Page: well, idaho is another state i will be boycotting,i,ll not step another foot back in idaho until dog killers come to their senses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Any Idaho resident that sees Carla Jean's comment has gotta be thinking, "Dead pit and an idiot promising to stay out of Idaho... DOUBLE WIN!!!")

  12. i think shooting pits must be the greatest perk of being a cop since the doughnut was invented by a cop-hater.

  13. Actually, The Nutters are demanding that Police Officers take a mauling instead of defending themselves.

Police Officers have a duty to themselves , their families and the taxpayer to stay off the disability rolls.

The Pit Bull counterculture at work....Normalizing maulings and DBRFs!

  14. "SAFETY IS EVERYONES RESPONSIBILITY"
not sure what the nutter contingent means by that but i agree that cops need to shoot aggressive shitbulls and pitters need to know that its up to themslves to make sure their pits behave themselves. in other words the onus is on the brainless pitter to always proactivly prevent their maulers from doing what comes natural .
    FAT CHANCE OF THAT HAPPENING.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Snarky,

What pit nutters mean when they say, "Safety is EVERYONE'S responsibility", in pit nutter terms that means if you or you pet is mauled by a pit bull, it's YOUR problem because somehow, you or your pet did something wrong and the pit bull was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It's the same thing when they say "people need to be EDUCATED". Everyone needs education except pit bull owners.

It's one of the reasons this pit bullshit has been going on for so long. They make it seem like a good thing, who doesn't agree with education and responsibility, but they are just empty phrases which do absolutely nothing to curb or stop the problem.

This video shows the idiot pit bull owner left his door open, and I bet he does this quite often, and this day, someone with the ability to defend themselves show's up and use the appropriate amount of force. I can only imagine how many other people, cats, or dogs, have been victims of those pit bulls. From how fast those pit bulls reacted, I'm pretty sure they've done it before.

Good thing at least one of those pit bulls is off the streets. I'm sure he'll end up getting another pit bull and he'll continue leaving his door open. Pit bull owners never learn.

Amen. Swap out the police officers for a couple of girl scouts pitching thin mints and imagine the outcome.

And I agree; the nutter will have a replacement dog in nothing flat.

  17. Looks like North Carolina is having a banner month with pit bull attacks.

I wonder if this woman will surive her injury. Note AC was out earlier in the day for the same dog-

    http://fourleggedfriendsandenemies.blogspot.com/2012/09/woman-attacked-by-dog-still-in-critical.html

and from last week-note two serious attacks before james hudsons fatal attack

  18. Amazing- they are already making excuses for the pit bull in the recent attack..... how about the fact its a pit bull and it needs no provocation!

"Bowling said animal control officers are still trying to piece together what happened Tuesday night to provoke the dog into attacking 73-year-old Ogle, leaving her with deep wounds and gashes to her head and face"

  19. the weather is not a new nutter justification for explosive pit bull aggression.

click here to read karen delise blame a blizzard for a spate of pit bull attacks in pennsylvania.

  20. OMG, honestly the weather?

"Dogs can get cabin fever, just like people," she said. "A lot of dogs need a tremendous amount of exercise or they get pent-up energy."- Karen Delise

Who here has the tag line "you can't make this stuff up" because that really hits the nail on the head.

Thank goodness I live where there is temperate weather or else I might have to fear when my Poms or Collie might just go crazy from weather noise/conditions.......it must explain why I have 5 decades of dog ownership with no issues....the good weather..though currently I have a really high drive/energy Pom, and we do have occasional thunder here....
thank goodness for my breaksticks they may come in handy this winter when he can not go to agility class.

  21. The dogs were dangerous, that much is evident. What if the person at the door had been a child selling candy bars for their school or an older person going door to door for their church, the result could have been much, much worse.

The owner reacted much the same as the owner of the dog I killed. He was more worried about his dog and himself than he was about the woman and mortally wounded dog.

  22. Stinger,

Yep, pit bull owners are severely lacking in the empathy department. Even the ones who claim responsibility after their pit bull attacks, as to look like a decent human being, recant their words shortly after. They usually end up blaming the victim.

I read you have personal experience in that department. It's not that uncommon really.

    ReplyDelete
  23. They have plenty of empathy for pits. Here, the "caring community" saved these pits from the mean old Seattle Police Department, but not a word abut what happened to the "third animal".

    Quick, rescue them! http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/pet/3306742883.html

If you ever want to get your blood pressure up, just look at Seattle CL pets. There's also another gem in there where a Pit owner who has lost their Pit tells everyone he/she/it lies about what the dog is to their insurance company.

Oh, I have so many words for these folks, none of which are fit to print.

    cazz

  24. ...5194,

Yeah the "third animal" must not have been a pit bull and therefore, to crazy people, totally worthless. He doesn't even acknowledge its existence, maybe he thought it was just another chew toy.

2 pit bulls attack a 3rd dog and they "save" the pit bulls who attacked. The guy that posted this thinks he did someone a favor but he's putting more people and animals at risk by allowing them to live. He's getting his jollies thinking he's done a good thing.

His next post will be, "Hey bro, your 2 pits just killed 13 Alpacas, we hid the pits for you, come pick them up before SPD shows up."

  25. True confession: I've been emailing this cute guy back and forth for a few days. We met on a popular internet dating service. We were gonna go on a date this weekend.

You see where this is going....

I asked about his dog, and today he sent me photos....

    IT'S A PIT BULL!

    ARRRRRGH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! *wails*

Is it wrong to preemptively dump someone because they own a pit bull? Is that shitty and wrong to do on my part? Is it too fanatical?
