I don't think any of the other regular posters here are in the Tri-State area, but if you are, good luck tomorrow! This Frankenstorm shit is stressing me out! Bloomberg is all, "Get your prepare-to-be-a-nomad 'Go Bag' ready and put your medications in plastic baggies and write your SS# on your body in permanent marker!"
I am only slightly exaggerating.
I changed the aquarium water and got extra food for the birds.

Oh, I found this youtube video on rabies. Beware--it's graphic.
I didn't know it was so terrible...and fatal. I looked it up after Dawn's last post. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-moG6JDmJdc&feature=related
I got rabies vax after a mild bite, per doctor's request. The CDC's recommendations for rabies prophylaxis is ridiculous and misleading, and actively harms those who get rabies vax as a precautionary measure after a bite by a non-vax'd dog (and puts others at risk). I broke down the CDC's rec. as part of a small law suit. I can send this to anyone who would like it for their own use.
interesting videos. miss margo's lead me to this one.
miss margo, i thought about you and everyone else on the east coast when i saw the national weather last night. i'll be thinking about your over the next few days.
sorry, i wouldnt really laugh at a starving mutant unless i knew it personally . pitters are always saying , get to know one but the problem is,i have. but i digress. i saw a show on katrina and there was a part where this woman comes back to her house and the family pit is still there , survived , a little skinny perhaps. the pit is all happy and hungry , wiggling its brown butt ect and the stupid F.C. completely ignores it . low life scum dont really care about their mutants , its all about them.
I think it is important because it shows that the CDC is not to be given full trust. And in this case I believe they are being woefully incompetent.
I was flabbergasted when I realized what the CDC had done (without really admitting to it): made a cost-benefit analysis at the societal level using $1 million as the worth of a human (in a sense what a corporation would do that was getting full costs and benefits) and then using the results to recommend how private citizens and doctors should make health decisions. This is important because if you decide you best get the shots, like I did, the CDC recommendations will be thrown in your face to deny you either insurance coverage or restitution from the dog owner.
The part where this is first revealed starts on the 2nd page with....
"The treatment recommendations made by the CDC..."
Although what comes prior will provide background.
(Before you even start reading, this only informs you about 'Pitbulls' listing the Breeds, what they were bred for, things they have done, how to train one, and how to raise a well behaved one and my opinion on BSL, the only reason this wouldn't be approved is the simple fact the don't like the fact that I know about Pits and would like to prevent dog bites and make the world a safer place.)
NOTE: This is in parts: Part #1 Clearly you've never met the 'Pitbulls' sitting in a living room on the couch with their family, or the ones wearing the Service Dog vest, the ones waiting at home for their master who is over seas, the ones baring bullet wounds from intruders or muggers, the ones waiting in the middle of nowhere till they die waiting for their master to return, the first 'Pitbulls' that were bred to watch children and protect them, the ones sitting in their front yard silently watching the cops and being shot for looking at them, the ones that were loved.
Do you even know what a 'Pitbull' is? It's not a breed, is MANY breeds. Such as American Pitbull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, Bulldogs, Boxers, Alapaha Blue Bloods, Boston Terriers, Bull terriers, Bullmastiffs, Mastiffs, French Bulldogs, Olde English Bulldogges, Renascence Bulldogges, Victorian Bulldogs, Dogo Argentinos, Great Danes, Aussie Bulldogs, Banter Bulldogges, Ca De Bous, Bulldogue Campeiros, Catahoula Bulldogs, Dorest Olde Tyme Bulldoggees, and more, yep there is more than that! Heck maybe someone reading this ones a 'blood thirsty killer beast' and it's your best friend laying beside you!
Many of you judge the breeds based on Google, Google Images, and what the News says. How about instead of listening and looking at those, go volunteer at a shelter. Your bound to meet a "Pitbull" (PS: you wouldn't be aloud to work with it unless it's fit for adoption). If you scared go to a dog park, or (again) and shelter and ask if you can be around the breed some, even on a walk if you see a "Pitbull" ask the owner if you can pet it. Open up your eyes and see past the news, see the hundreds of thousands of dead bodies laying in a landfill, those dogs were someone's pet, someone's best friend, someone's savior. They all had names, Rocky, Bo, Buddy, Sammy, you name it, one of those dogs was called it, and they came running at the sound of their name. Tail wagging and tongue ready to give kisses, they all waited at a door tail and butt wagging just waiting for you to step inside so they could see you again... they all were family... Imagine someone taking your little sister or brother or big sister or brother and shooting them in the head in front of you, that's what it's like for each of those families. That was their sister, brother, child(for the people who can't have kids, that was their kid, their world). That was everything they had and you people took it away because it looked different.
The only this they had in this world and you took it, why? Because humans are greedy, they feel the need to constantly be changing and taking things, nothing is right, Us as humans look past the simple and easy ways and look towards death and loss.
That summed up perfectly the atrocious actions of the monsters that walk on two feet, not four. That are too ignorant to actually understand what great companions dogs make. Because at the end of the day, a pit is a dog and deserves to have the same rules boundaries and limitations as any other breed
BSL has murdered Service Dogs, Support Dogs, Canine Good Citizens, Some little kid's best friend, A Veteran's Best friend, there are 'Pitbulls' that died to save us humans and we look past that, we look past the Dogs that were in War and saved millions of lives, we look past the ones that searched through the rubble on 9/11 looking for people, we look past the ones that pulled people from flood waters, we look past the ones that fought of bears and mountain lions to saves us, we look past the ones that took bullet to make sure we were safe, we look past all of that... No one looks at all the good things "Pitbulls" have done, they look at the abused, badly bred dogs, dog we humans trained to be mean.
Want an easier way to see it? A war Veteran Returns home after jumping on a bomb and saved many people but lost both his legs, an arm, an eye, hearing in one ear, and is covered in scars, we loved and praised.. one day someone brakes into his home and threatens to shoot him, his wife, and 2 kids(1 year old and 2 years old) and to protect them he gets a firearm and shoots the intruder in the leg. It doesn't kill him but stops the intruder from killing all of his family. The police arrive on the scene and automatically call the Veteran the bad guy and lock him up without getting the full story. That man that fought for our country, laid on a bomb, lost multiple limbs and more, jailed for protecting his family. He gets out of jail and every is still saying it was his fault and he did it without motive... That's how you all see it, he did it without motive but in reality, he did it out of love, loyalty, and to protect the ones he loved.
Another way to look at it. I show you a good, the front of it is red. I hold it up for awhile, silent, then ask you what color it is. You all respond 'It's red.' I then say 'No it's white.' We all argue, every insisting it's red. After a moment of silence I turn the book around so you can all see the back, it is white. "The book is now red... but you call see white." The room is silent. "Try looking at things from the other person's point of view, maybe things aren't as they appear." What this shows you is that you see that all 'Pitbulls' are killers, I see it as Yes ALL breeds have their bad apples, but they are loving family pets. Don't judge so quickly... You all probably thought that with reading this far I would have swore, and types in bold capital letters showing that I was very angry, but I didn't, I want to educate people about the breeds.
How do you get a well behaved 'Pitbull'? Well, you can get an adult that will have no behavioral surprises but might take longer to train, or you can get a puppy and train it from a very young age so it knows wrong from right. Again, Training! Every dog needs it! 'Pitbulls' are very smart, working dogs and need a job(I suggest agility) and the training must be constant. They are not for first time dog owners and need an experienced dog owner. You must show that you are the 'Alpha'. Make sure to socialize your dog, take them on care rides and to dog parks. Make sure they are around a lot of people and other animals while young (between 8 and 12 weeks is the most crucial times to socials a puppy). Just simply working with the dog will prevent behavioral issues.
If you have have a dog with behavioral issues but would still want to walk it get a muzzle (Mesh or cage) and tie a YELLOW BOW to the leash up higher where all people can see it, a Yellow bows means the dog is Dog Aggressive, Doesn't like strangers, doesn't like kids, gets nervous easily, is sick, recovering from an injuring, anybody with a quarter of a brain will see this and know those things and leave the dog alone. You as the owner can also help avoid accidents by moving away the oncoming people/kids/dogs. Stop and walk far off to the side and get an extremely good hold on the leash, or walk across the rode.
Do not get mad at me because I know about the breeds and how to train and raise one. Do not get mad because I have an opinion that's different than yours. If you do not like my comment, scroll on past. Replying would be a waste of your time and only create drama. Thank you for reading.

you only have to look as far as they manner in which they back peddled on the the issue of dog bites to know that the CDC has NO integrity.
ReplyDeletebut now we know with absolute certainty that the CDC practices the cost benefit analysis. our tax dollars at work!
