A scary story from Craigslist to add to the Halloween themed fun...
"But since that day, about two weeks ago, El has been almost impossible to live with. He throws himself against my son's windows, trying to get to passing dogs and cats. He snaps at anyone who is not my son, including me. And my son got bitten for trying to move his food bowls while he was eating."

Classic. Disgusting. When you seem them near normal dogs, they just look more disgusting.
There is a woman who walks a very "drivey" pit - looks game bred with a PUG. I started seeing her this summer. That nasty mauler is extremely aggressive when it walks past my fence and sees my dogs. It pulls her down the street. I don't know how the pug has survived so long. I bet they crate n' rotate. I dread the day I see her walking just the mauler.

"Hi, I'm new here. I was hoping I could get some help for a problem I was having.
My son moved out about six months ago, and since he's always been raised with dogs, he went out about two months ago and adopted a dog from Animal Control.
Our local Animal Control is severely underfunded, so when he told me he wanted to adopt a dog from there, I reminded him that they do not do temperament testing, so to spend some time with the dog before he brought it home.
Well, he ended up bringing home a 60 lb Pit Bull, who was an owner surrender. When surrendered, they told the shelter that he had killed their pet rabbit, and that's why they were giving him up. Other than that, he was a well-behaved dog who was good with cats, dogs, and kids.
Well, when my son brought Electro home, it was a match made in heaven at first. They jogged together, ate together, and my son brought him everywhere with him. The first issue arose when he brought Electro over for a playdate with my two German Shepherd sisters, Nala and Kaia. Kaia has a reputation for being mildly dog aggressive, so I had her crated. However, we introduced El to Nala using a babygate. Almost immediately, he lunged at her. He was uncontrollable, so my son took him home. Apparently, he didn't act this way with any other dog.
But since that day, about two weeks ago, El has been almost impossible to live with. He throws himself against my son's windows, trying to get to passing dogs and cats. He snaps at anyone who is not my son, including me. And my son got bitten for trying to move his food bowls while he was eating.
We have no idea what to do. It's escalated so quickly that it's left us a bit shocked. Can anyone help? I'm afraid my son's first dog is going to end up dead. "
obviously, it was entirely the fault of the GSD. she scarred poor pibble for life. i hope his other dog is a pit bull too.
I probably shouldn't say this, but that little poodle DOES look like a coconut-cream eclair.
That pit bull looks like Inflatable Pit Bull, made of industrial rubber for demanding fetishists. LED eyes. Very effective.
That story is horrific. I fear for the neighbors. One suggestion that the pit be euthed, one, and a couple week "agree"s. I guess it was wise to turn to craigslist rather than pit bull chat, though. Hope its been put down by now.
id like to use an air hose and see how much that pitbull would expand before it blows up and hits the fan . do a video for universal internet enjoyment . i think even the pit nutters would be impressed with my hatefull creativity .
"We have no idea what to do."
How sad that things have come to this. The answer for "what to do" is obvious, and not so many years ago *anyone* who dared suggest otherwise would have been declared a fool---even by most "dog" people---for putting themselves and those around them in danger. It's not like when you've got a mentally disturbed, physically volatile family member to deal with, it's a FUCKING DOG! It should be put down immediately.
I hope this person wakes up before it's too late.
Yes! Anon. You're right.
That picture makes me think again of how it infuriates me that they are brought among animals who have probably never met violence in their lives. That little white dog is so happy, excited, unaware, as cold death stares at him, that creature's only motive.
Not long ago I watched a show called Too Cute on Animal Planet, this one featuring kittens born in a grooming salon. At one point the kittens, about 5 weeks old, were playing in the reception area, when a sound outside made one dash to the door. A pit bull plunged inside, wearing, of course, shades; It was certainly staged-why would a pit bull come to a groomer? It flung off the sunglasses, then strongly darted it's snout into the kitten's face. That was all, but
the crude, obvious, hammer-handed , immoral manipulation makes my heart explode. Why did that tiny, trusting life have to be jeopardized and used so shamefully? But that's their world, the Pit trenchers. More repugnant with each shovel load, and more barren of soul.
What can be a worse travesty
than that they be spotlighted when they refrain from killing.
yet excused when they do, no matter the value of that life.
You know...it's almost godlike.

nice rant
there's always room for more bloggers here. i'm sure the the readers would like to hear more of your hateful creativity snarky.

I think I love you.
Hilarious!
prosthetic middle fingers... counterfeit spidy comics... don't know which made me laugh harder <3
I'd like to see a movie where a mad scientist genetically modified a group of humans to be vicious, yet not at all times. So, some bleeding hearts start mentoring these things, and usually keep it together, but periodically things go very bad. They then have a whole set of excuses and emotional pleas. There are even TV shows highlighting how great these little psychos could be.
you are talking about pit bull owners .
How very appropriate that the little white dog is is dressed as an angel.
The mauler appears to be considering giving the unsuspecting little dog actual angel wings.
"We have no idea what to do. It's escalated so quickly that it's left us a bit shocked. Can anyone help? I'm afraid my son's first dog is going to end up dead. "
Her big fear is not that the dog might kill her son, the neighbor's dog, or possibly a child. It's that the dog may have to be put down.
Sociopath.
Yet its the Bichon/poodle mix thats lunging. Whats the point of this picture?
Don't be a dog dummy. If a poodle/bichon is mad, the most it'll do is some ritual gesturing and air-snapping at some other dog. It won't rip some other dog limb from limb alive, wagging its tail with unemotional concentration all the while.
Even if you run into some poodle/bichon that would like to be really biting (possible, though unlikely), as someone said: they are puntable. One shove of the foot will make them back off.
That's a characteristic of Bichons and a little less, of poodles; animation and bounciness. I've brought Bichons out from grooming many times with them walking upright part of the way (not lunging) they are very exuberant dogs, and will often pop up and down on one spot while waiting to meet someone.
The bichon has soft eyes and relaxed ears. Don't be a moron.
"they are very exuberant dogs, and will often pop up and down on one spot while waiting to meet someone."
There's an elderly man who walks his adorable malti-poo (which resembles the little dog in the photo) past my home several times a day. He always strains on his leash towards anyone passing nearby, wagging his tail, whimpering and panting loudly, excited to say hello. Bad manners perhaps but I love that dog :)
im sure hope that ugly shitbull wasnt hurt by the lunging poodle or any other of the vicious little dogs there. its always a big concern of pitbull owners ....the behavior of other dogs around their ambassador mutants . (snark)
@DAMIANDOG : the point of the picture was to show the grave danger the ugly shitbull was in from the lunging "FOO FOO" dog . LOL @idiocy
Anon 8:31,
Thanks for the laugh. I was describing to Dawn exactly this behavior from my Standard puppy in the vet's waiting room just yesterday. We were standing in line and I was attempting to pretend that this behavior is normal while others in the waiting room were elbowing their spouses "honey, honey, look at this dog..."
She was very pleasant about it, bouncing up and down on the same spot, didn't bother a soul. The universal response to my puppy is "my goodness, she sure is happy."
Thanks for reinforcing that this IS a normal breed specific behavior.
" the point of the picture was to show the grave danger the ugly shitbull was in from the lunging "FOO FOO" dog"
hahahaha
That small white dog (while cute in its costume) is obviously misbehaving by pulling and probably incessently wimpering or barking. Small dogs need to be trained as well.
