I honestly thought this might be a hoax video (the robbers reaction seemed a bit staged to me) until I googled it and saw it was widely reported and the shopkeeper was interviewed. Good for that little guy.
Hmm...something seems odd. The owner of the smoke shop is Erik Knight, as reported by Time. I tried to watch this video at another site and it was unavailable due to infringement of copyright as filed by ErikKnightEnterprises (or something to that effect, but it had the owner's name in it, I remember clearly).
According to the L.A. County Sheriff's department's youtube page, the 'bad guys' are still at large. They say, "Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Altadena Sheriff's Station Detective Brett Binder, (626) 296-2114 and reference Case# 911-01838-0773-034.
I bet it was their first robbery or something and they just kinda freaked out because of the noise. They looked young and inexperienced. I doubt they will try it again, they clearly suck at armed robbery.
that chi was some fearsome attack dog. did you see how he drove off those dirt bags? no wonder pitters usually have a chi as well as the bigger but less aggressive pit dog. guess its really true that chi's are actually worse than pits. pits will usually only lick you to death , so i hear from reliable dingbat sources. DISCLAIMER: i am not making fun of PIT DINGBATS and their sweet wigglebutt mutants
