The Longmont Humane Society is Killing Pets and Hurting People Across the Country

The pit bull that killed a pomeranian on a streetcar in Portland is the third pit bull adopted from Longmont Colorado Humane Society that was reported in news outlets after it attacked.  Two of the pit bulls killed another dog after being adopted from Longmont Humane Society.  Two of the pit bulls had known aggression issues before being adopted.
Lady and her life's blood spilt by a LHS adopted pit bull
Is it humane to adopt out predatory pit bulls that kill our pets?
One of the attacks included an attack on a human.  And one attack earned Longmont Humane Society the dubious distinction of being the first Humane Society to be fined for allowing a dangerous dog to attack ie - being an irresponsible pit bull owner. At the time they received their dangerous dog ticket, an investigation revealed that a whopping 16% of the dog bite reports in Longmont were from dogs adopted from the LHS.

The three attacks that made it to the news:
2014  Pit bull taken onto public transportation in Portland OR immediately killed a pomeranian inside the street car in front of horrified passengers.  Police tracked the pit bull's history by means of a microchip and discovered that it had been adopted from the Longmont Humane Society TWICE.  LHS was aware that sometimes the pit bull didn't get along with other dogs when they adopted it out.
2013  Longmont Humane Society places pit bull that had been designated "dangerous" in another county in foster care in the community of Longmont because they felt they had "rehabilitated" it. It then attacked a dog and a person, just as it had done several times before.  Longmont may be the first Humane Society to be fined for allowing a dangerous dog to attack.
2012 A Longmont pit bull killed small dog being walked on a leash.  The pit bull had been recently adopted from the Longmont Humane Society.  Apparently, the new owner was told that the pit bull had attacked another dog in the shelter, but then they said the pit bull was only "dog selective" when in fact the pit bull has high predatory aggression.

Is it humane to cause this anguish in a grandmother?
With that kind of track record, you'd think Longmont HS was some kind of crappy, underfunded, unmanned, neglected animal control center housed in a dank, old forgotten shed.  But no, LHS is renowned among pit bull advocates as a place that will take in dangerous and aggressive dogs from other locations around the country and "rehabilitate" them for adoption into Longmont and neighboring communities.  Aimee Sadler who created and ran this program at Longmont and is a superstar in dangerous dog training circles, left her position at Longmont shortly before they were ticketed for being a dangerous mauling pit bull owner.

Sadler seems to have taken Leah Purcell's place as the go to person who can magically rehabilitate aggressive dogs.  Leah Purcell was idolized as a magic worker until it was discovered that she had horribly abused pit bulls for years by warehousing all these unadoptable "merely dog aggressive" pit bulls in crates while lying to shelters about their rehabilitation and subsequent happy-ever-after adoptions.
Longmont Humane Society will take dogs with behavior problems off a shelter's hands for $1,000.  (Purcell only charged $750)

LHS imports quantities of street dogs from Houston as well.  In the news report, they claim these dogs do not have behavior problems, and show only puppies of the non-pit bull variety in the news article.  If you believe they're not finding or importing pit bulls from the Houston area, I have a boxer mix I want to sell you.

Sadler's program sounds like a wonderful enrichment program that would work well with normal dogs stuck in a shelter for long periods.  It centers on creating outdoor playgroups for dogs to run around together burning off energy and interacting with each other.  Her theory is that shelters can carefully select compatible dogs who get along together in a group, introduce a less well adjusted dog into the group, and under supervision, allow the socially competent dogs to teach the troublesome dog how to behave.  In addition, the program provides individual training for the dogs.

This sounds great as long as the shelter is well-funded, has plenty of competent volunteer trainers and the population of dogs consists of mostly well-adjusted dogs that can't get adopted with only a few problematic dogs.  Sadly, Longmont Colorado exists in the real world where most shelter dogs are pit bulls.  Even more sadly, Sadler seems to think she can burn off genetically determined predatory aggression as well as extra energy and train away genetically controlled impulses to attack anything that moves.  She claims her program allowed Longmont Humane Society to adopt out 92% of their dogs, but neglected to mention how many of those dogs went on to attack, maul, maim or kill pets and people in the community.

She left the Longmont HS shortly before it was slapped with the fine for allowing a dangerous pit bull to attack.  She's moved to Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation in New York and runs her Dogs Playing for Life program in which she spreads her techniques around the country. And she is a darling of Nathan Winograd, Maddie's Fund and Animal Farm Foundation support comes with big cash.

Look at the partner shelters!

There's Austin Pets Alive! - When Austin recently went No Kill, Austin Pets Alive partnered with the publicly funded shelter to take the "overflow" of pets and to take the "large dogs with behavior problems", apply Sadler's techniques and adopt those dangerous large dogs into the Austin community.  Reported dog bites went up an incredible 35% when No Kill practices were adopted and the focus became adopting out as many pets as possible.  That did not stop their shelters from quickly becoming stuffed to the gills.

Reading the comments sections of the various articles on LHS adoptions gone wrong shows Longmont residents are both aware of and sick of No Kill and the superstar Aimee Sadler's program.  It is obvious that the people at Longmont Humane Society need some very close supervision and some instruction about what the word "humane" means and how to implement a humane mission for first people, and then pets.

  1. ITs always about money. Always. They will take them for 1,000 dollars. So sad. I am one of those crazies that believes we don't get out of this world without going on to one where we will have to answer for our behavior in the afterlife. I guess the pitbull owners believe they are going straight to hell so they figure they should just try to make money off dogs and not care about the victims.. canine, pitbull, and human.

  3. so aimee sadler is linked to jane?

    from 2009 - 2012 jane gave LHS over $35,000.

i wonder if old money bags will continue to pump cash into longmont now that sadler has packed her bags?

  4. Remember how the nutters were traumatized with good ole Clara at Petsmart getting stabbed? Do nutters ever realize that seeing a dog killed by a pit bull is not something normal human beings want to see? None of us normal dog owners wants to see our pets attacked, or killed.

What is it going to take for nutters to realize, pit bulls CANNOT be rehabilitated, should not be passed around from shelter, to forever home, to shelter, to a different county, to a another shelter.

People that claim to have magical powers over problem pit bulls, should be closely monitored. Each and every pit bull should be followed, and scrutinized. As soon as the pit bull shows failure to lose its aggression, humanely put it to sleep. Don't wait for the carnage to realize something is amiss. Don't "pass the pit bull."

Pit bulls are not worth the time, nor the effort, for obvious reasons. But nutters think otherwise.

  5. Thank you sock puppet! sock puppet? LOL. I added a link to that great blood money post!

At the end of 2013, there were reports that Longmont was short cash to pay their rent. But, I don't know what happened since because they're still find and importing dogs into Longmont.

I would bet Maddie's Fund has given money to either longmont, or sadler's org, but I haven't found evidence of it yet.

Anon 8:17 - that is the most gross thing of all - the outrage about the pit bull that attacked Lexie in Petsmart getting stabbed, emphasizing that people were taruamatized, but people are traumatized every day by pit bull attacks - just witnessing one is traumatic.

  8. As you noted, Animal F*cked Foundation had a feature on Longmont as "Spotlight on Success". And if you look at the IRS filings of said private foundation, they gave Longmont $50 per pit bull that was adopted (even though said animals cannot be identified). AFF also gives $150 per Canine Good Citizen award -- hm, not a whole lot of those going out to Longmont, saw 2 one year. Also in 2012 Longmont received adoption incentive grants -- the more pit bulls one talks the public into taking, the more money the shelter gets. Hey, tutus are expensive.

  12. When a dog attacks, it is natural to play over in your mind what happened. There always are things going on in life... someone sneezes, someone next door slams their car door, a cat walks across the driveway. It is natural to mentally catalog those things that happened just before a catastrophic event. But, that doesn't always mean those things caused the event. Maybe the dog didn't care about the sneeze, and he expected to hear the car door slam because he heard the car drive up, an he didn't even know a cat was in the driveway. I know people here know this, but there are people who have certain kinds of crazy dogs who don't seem to get it. But, then, they'll pass over something that is relevant like 'last week it killed another dog'.

  16. Aimee Sadler is just sadistically working for the pit bull breeders and the dog fighters, and committing animal cruelty and abuse for them. That's all she is doing.

Nathan Winograd represents those same breeders and dog fighters. He gets lobbying through them and passes on the $$$$ to the prostitutes for the breeders along with AFF.

Maybe someday the rescue idiots will realize that people like Sadler are getting them to slave away for those breeders, and the only thing happening is that the breeders are getting richer and breeding more dogs.

  18. Branwyn Finch isn't being honest if she doesn't address the biggest player in this pit bull insanity, the AKC and other breeder organizations that started all this pit bull advocacy. They're the ones that came up with all the lies and excuses, the victim blaming, the rehab scheme, and the crazy ideas like Sadlers, that the rescue nuts and shelters like Longmont now use.

A lot of these AKC breeders are running the shelters and humane organizations that do this pit bull advocacy like Sadler, like Amy Marder in Boston Animal Rescue League and Brenda Barnette in Los Angeles who also works for Best Friends, and many others are too.

Leah Purcell was an AKC breeder.

No Kill which is connected to pit bull advocacy is run by the breeders.

The AKC is still the biggest player in this, hiding in the shadows and is the largest pressure and the most money for pit bull lobbying, more even than AFF

Nathan Winograd works for the AKC and their associates

Where the money interest is, that's where the biggest pressure for this pit bull advocacy is coming from.

  19. ANON at 9:41 PM is correct in assigning a lot of blame on the AKC.

They had a campaign of terror years ago regarding BSL and linked it to the Holocaust. In a nutshell using the analogy "first it was pit bulls now its your breed of dog".

I was sickened just a few months ago to receive a newsblast from the AKC touting how wonderful one of the Michael Vick dogs were......

As well as their promotion of this Vick dog. Heck they even call him an Am Staff so they are claiming this one

    http://www.woofipedia.com/articles/from-vick-to-victory?mkt_tok=3RkMMJWWfF9wsRoks6zNZKXonjHpfsX56OkpXqSyi4kz2EFye%2BLIHETpodcMTsBmMK%2BTFAwTG5toziV8R7XMJM1x1tMQWhfg

And then there was this a few years earlier

    https://www.facebook.com/AmericanKennelClub/posts/217941611677570

This was exactly the kind of thing I predicted when AKC whored themselves out and allowed mutts to compete in AKC events. (after all AKC does not recognize the american pit bull terrier or american bull dog or whatever name you want to put on a gripping dog). I have not competed for the last few years because I do not want to be subjected to these kind of dogs.

  20. Does anyone know where the english bulldog fits in? I met one the other day at the dog park. Lady walked in with her dog on leash and my dog happily trotted over to them and the lady started going on about how her dog was attacked a few times by a lab there (My guess is this is the large black pit I seen a guy with who mist have snuck the dog into the apartments under black lab) anyways she said that once her dog "gets going" that she cannot control it becaise its so strong. She became unconforitable pretty quickly and pulled her dog away into a seperate fenced part (small dog part) that was empty. I also noticed my dog was acting more submissive than usual around the bulldog. I found her comment kind of odd too because my dog is twice her dogs size and I can pick him up pretty easily and remove him from a situation (I did this one of the times he got attacked by a pit).

  26. Pitbulls are fighting dogs..

the reason for that is because they will do anything their owner tells them to do with unconditional loyalty and love. if their owner teaches them to inflict pain.. that is exactly what theyll do.

The negativity that surrounds this breed are caused by a pseudo science similar to that which surrounded the African American race during the slavery era "their heads are smaller so they are dumber" - "They have a higher pain tolerance so you can whip them harder" - "They are different from other people so we shouldn't treat them as equals" Have we not learned?

All of these comments are spreading hate and negativity that is killing so many innocent dogs every year. This particular shelter should have been more explicit that the dogs were dog aggressive and the owners should have been more careful. but these 3 dogs do not represent an entire breed just like 3 people do not represent all of man kind

In a scientific study 122 dogs ranked higher in terms of aggression than pitbulls the highest rated was a dachsund. I work at a vet and have been bitten more times by labradors and yorkies than any other breed.

If you want to bring up statistics on pitbull attacks that is fine but take into consideration that dogs are often mislabeled as pits when they are in fact another breed. Am staffs, Boxers, American Bulldogs, mastiffs, and various mixes are all commonly mistaken for pitbulls so these combinations raise the numbers. Even the linked article is titled "Woman said she was attacked by pitbull" says being the operative word.

Open your minds, Open your hearts. Be understanding that all dogs should be approached with caution and should be well supervised if you do not know them well. Just as all people should be treated equally so should all breeds of dogs.

I have a pit mix. He is 90 pounds of absolute joy, I trust him with my small nieces and nephews and he is exceedingly gentle with my foster kittens and puppies.

He is full of love as all dogs have the potential to be.

I will attach below an inspiring article of rehabilitated pitbulls. Just like with people rehab works for some and not others so to correspond the negativity above here are some positive results.

Everything has two sides. Everyone deserves a chance. Please look at the big picture because if you have done your research like I have you would not harbor hatred for any particular breed.

    ReplyDelete
  27. You cannot compare humans with dogs. Dog breeds are artificially created. Certain traits are emphasized more for various reasons. Even with established breeds, there may be a fad to breed them bigger or smaller or try to get certain colors or exaggerate certain features. Sometimes, this is not good at all for the dog such as there are some basset hounds whose ears drag the ground.

Are you talking about the ATTS? Because that does not measure what you think it does. It measures the suitability of a particular dog to participate in shutzhund (sp?). The most important thing is a dog can't skiddish... they need to be confident. In certain circumstances in the test, aggression is perfectly acceptable (I don't mean an attack, but behavior that is not gentle). If you are talking about something else please explain.

This article you're commenting on is about ONE pit bull as well as some others that have been adopted out of this agency. So, a particular group of dogs that isn't even every single pit bull sort of dog they've adopted. This article is saying there are too many adopted from there that immediately have issues. YOU dragged every pit bull in the world into the mix.

What a lot of us would like to see if pit bull owners to be proactive and do something BEFORE their animal gets out of hand. Maybe it is as simple as keeping it on your own property? Everyone needs to keep control of their canines, no matter what kind of dog they have. But, if the dog is capable of putting someone in the hospital, then people who have them have an obligation to ensure that their dog is not a danger to people or to animals that are minding their own business.

If YOUR pit bull stays on your property and behaves itself, then no one is concerned about it. The thing is too many people hear about some pit bulls somewhere that have manners, so they go snatch one out of the shelter and prance onto a bus with it first thing. They don't know anything about that stupid dog yet and the public should not have to be in peril so they can learn.

Our 'hate' is not 'getting dogs killed'. FFS! Common sense would say the people who are actually dealing with these animals are the ones responsible for not containing them, overbreeding them, and adopting them out when they should not be (in the case of THIS dog). No one is going to run out and randomly kill their own dog because people on the internet think it looks mean and is ugly. But, if the dog really IS mean and is unmanageable, then that person may dump it back on a shelter.

If no one knows or can even tell what a pit bull is, then how do you know you have one? How do you know anything bad is happening to them?

You're argument was well worded which I appreciate.

You did however seem to misunderstand my point which was that all dogs should be approached, considered, feared, and treated equally. People should be mindful when approaching any dog be it Chihuahua or Wolfhound.

Dogs never attack unless they are provoked or afraid- I agree with you that the owners of ALL breeds should understand their dog before hopping on a bus with it or doing anything in public with it for that matter. I do disagree that people who own pitbulls should "contain" them as you said. I, along with every dog owner, should be allowed to walk my dog around town as long as he and I both know how to behave appropriately in public situations- concerning other dogs.

I said many people claim a dog to be a pitbull when it's not. I did not generalize as you are. I work with dogs AS I SAID so yes I can identify that my dog is a pit mix. I was reaching out in an effort to educate those who jump to conclusions.

    ANY dog can be dangerous.
In 2011 i believe (not positive on the year) a Pomeranian killed an infant but we do not judge the breed only that specific dog and the owners who didn't slowly introduce it to the baby as they should have.

And in regard to what I said about this hatred killing innocent dogs every year I stand by it. Pitbulls are put down by the thousands because people have their heads filled with prejudices about the breed. So yes spreading a view that is not only incorrect but abhorrently backwards IS killing thousands.. you are not pushing the needle but youre keeping the dogs in those shelters.

I know I cannot change the mind of everyone about pitbulls I can only plead that you have really educated yourselves about dogs in general before jumping to conclusions

I posted that one article because it had a few examples of dogs who were used as fighters and became loving pets but if that wasn't enough for you here is some more info on pitbulls. You must look at both sides of an argument in order to find the right answer.

I encourage well educated responses to my argument please do your research and write back to me but please READ MY WORDS CAREFULLY for I do not care to explain myself a thousand times over.

I am not here to offend or start a fight only to be a voice for the many sweet furbabies that can;t tell you how lovely they are themselves.

  30. It was 2001 when a Pom mix that was significantly larger than a typical Pom killed an infant.

By contain, I don't mean you have to keep it in a box. But, you have to be in control of it somehow... and I do mean complete control. We have too many incidents with dogs of similar appearance that argues that some people are not handling these dogs (THE ONES IN THE INCIDENTS) properly.

  31. Erynn, This is going to be in two parts because you have opened so many dOors here. You apparently do not realize that the comments you read here are frequently made by victims of pit bull attacks. The "research" came to us in a pool of blood, our own, the blood of our pets and our livestock. The pit bulls attacked us with joy, tails wagging, they were having the best time ever, they were doing exactly what they were bred to do. One does not need to "train" pit bulls to attack, they are bred for this behavior, it is the criteria for inclusion into the breed/type gene pool. It is not "negativity" to acknowledge this, just truth.

It is not the "negativity" of victims killing "innocent dogs" it is the direct actions of those who claim to love the breed that leads to the deaths of pit bulls. Irresponsible breeding, failure to contain, failure to insure. Pitty bites someone? Instead of making a responsible choice and putting a vicious dog down pit bull advocates give it to someone else that will not handle it responsibly either.

Roughly a million pit bulls are humanely euthanized in American shelters every year. These dogs die because there is no place for them to go. They are overbred to the point that even under ideal circumstances there are simply more pit bulls than there are appropriate homes to put them in.

Pit bulls are bred in back yards and change hands for the price of a carton or two of cigarettes. New owners have so little invested that when the dog becomes aggressive or the landlord finds out that pit bulls are being harbored on his property and orders the dogs out the lucky pit bulls are surrendered to a shelter (the unlucky ones are abandoned on the streets). These pit bulls may be warehoused for months to years because peaceful people do not want them.

Peaceful people get their news from actual news sources and not love-a-bull websites. Peaceful people want dogs that are not bred for violence.

Surely you know that "study" proving the aggression of Dachshunds was an internet questionnaire. It was sent from dog owner to dog owner, no scientific sampling. The questionnaire required no documentation, it was anonymous, you could fill it out as many times as you wanted. You could answer questions on your actual dog, a dog that lives down the street, or an imaginary dog. This is not "science."

If you are regularly being bitten by Labs or Yorkies then I suggest you use more care with them.

  32. To Erynn - part 2

Yes, everything has two sides. Please consider the pain and the losses of pit bull victims. Pit bull attacks change lives, or end them.

Pit bull victims are very real. We can identify pit bulls, only pit bull advocates have trouble identifying the dogs that they spend their lives defending. Have you ever wondered why only pit bulls require the level of advocacy that we see from pit bull owners? The Pom that killed the baby was a 40 pound mix and that death was in the year 2000. This particular death is brought up daily by pit bull advocates. Since that unfortunate death hundreds of Americans have been killed by pit bulls and you refuse to acknowledge this.

My own attack was completely unprovoked unless you consider existing on Planet Pit bull to be provocation. I did not approach the pit bull, the violence came to me.

The articles you have provided are puff pieces produced to soften the image of dogs that are bred for an activity so violent that it is a felony in all 50 states.

WE are not keeping pit bulls in shelters. Shelters are full of pit bulls because pit bull advocates are more concerned with money than honest and responsible care of the dogs they produce. Stop breeding dogs with no hope of ever finding an appropriate and permanent home.

You fail to understand that peaceful people have the right to go on about the peaceful details of our lives without being mauled by your dogs. The most common response made by a pit bull owner after his/her pit bull mauls someone is (this is said in Gomer Pyle's voice) "Golly, he never did that before." Communities have the right to regulate what has proven to be dangerous and pit bulls prove that every day.

I'm one of the most fortunate pit bull victims. My scars do not show, but I have pain 24/7/365 and will as long as I live. What I hate is what pit bulls are bred for, violence.

Wow! So this is where are the hateful trolls go to complain. I've never read such hateful ignorant comments in all my life. Shame on all of you for spreading such hatred and anger.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! You're funny! I'm so ashamed of spreading hatred and anger. Lemme guess, you're a proud fur mommy of the most wonderful, loving, loyal, amazing, best, rescued, tutu wearing, pit bull ever! And you spread your sunshine with your adorable mauler by taking wiggle butt, to, oh, I don't know, preschools, and old people homes, to educate every vulnerable person into believing that pit bulls are misunderstood, and actually the most cuddle-y, kissable dogs out there!

    rolls eyes

I'd rather be filled with hate, than filled with lies, and see a pit bull for what it really is, instead what ever your warped view is.

  36. Please note that the 'millions of pit bulls never do anything bad' is not true.

One third of all pit bulls are dumped at a shelter before they're a year old, mostly because of aggressive behavior. Each year, half of the adult pit bulls (older than a year) are then abandoned to a shelter, mostly because of aggressive behavior.

Please understand what this means: Namely, that by the time a pit bull is five years old, some 96% of its age mates have shown aggressive behavior so serious that their owners didn't want them any more.

Of the remaining 4%, quite a few still go on to maul and/or kill in their older years.

The fact that there are a couple million pit bulls in homes at any given time doesn't mean that plenty of pit bulls do just fine in homes. It just means that another million have been born since the last million were dumped, and another million will be dumped before the year is out.

The real estimate has to be that at most 1 in 25 pit bulls will reach the age of five without trying to kill something. The fact that someone was just in time to prevent it, or that the pit bull was dumped at a shelter before it succeeded, is not to the credit of any pit bull. It also doesn't mean that the pit bulls that haven't been dumped yet aren't aggressive. It just means their owners haven't gotten sick of it yet.

This is why there are very few pit bulls still alive past the age of six.

Hey Erynn, I have read and heard so many accounts of FAMILY pits, RAISED in a loving home that suddenly turned on it's own family, I don't give a crap about your paltry info. It is not enough for me. The right answer for me and my family is to never be around a pit bull and to arm myself when I must go out in public just in case some nice family pit "somehow" gets loose. If YOU want to take the chance with yourself and your own family that's you choice. Keep your potential mauler contained, don't inflict it on someone else. And stop trying to convince people that pits are so wonderful and sweet, you're spreading misinformation and out and out lies.

  38. OH, BTW, it is a personal policy that I do not recognize anonymous posters as experts. I do not, in turn, expect to use any credentials I may have because I post anonymous. So, I read what you SAID, but I am SAYING if you want to press the issue that we just don't know pit bulls then maybe it's cabbages being pts in shelters? IDK. I have nothing to do with these dogs and I don't advocate just outright killing them all... yet. If pit bull/pit mixes/dogs that look and behave as pits ownes don't step up and handle their dogs ... we have to do something.

I did not generalize as much as perhaps thought. Many of the dogs attack people in their family. The victims/their family knew for sure the breed because they owned (or aowners member owned)it, so they KNEW what kind of dog they had as much as you know what you have.

"Dogs never attack unless they are provoked or afraid" -

If you're spouting that nonsense you're apparently not familiar with pit bulls.

These pit bulls don't break out of containment, enter someone's house and torture all the little dogs to death because they are "afraid" or "provoked".

They do it because they were originally designed, after hundreds of years of careful selection and breeding, specifically to commit atrocities against vulnerable animals, for sport - animals which posed no threat to them - for no particular reason, except that there is an intrinsic reward in doing the thing they were designed to do.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Indeed, dogs will rarely attack unless they feel they have to defend their own survival and have no other way to do so.

Thing is, pit bulls aren't dogs. None of the gripping maulers are. They're all mutants. I find it objectionable when people call them dogs.

  46. People like Erynn are useless. They have no intellectual capacity, no ability to use simple logic, and its why dog fighters use them as whores for the pit.

Get simpleton bimbos to lie and provide cover for the fighting pits.

Some of these low rent bimbos are screwing dog fighters anyway and get cash off it.

The Erynns were born to be used.

  49. You are all so grossly misinformed. First of all, MOST of what the public refers to as a pit bull, is not a pit bull at all. Until you run a DNA, you really don't know what you have. Not all dogs with boxy heads are pit bulls. A Lab Boxer mix for example, can look amazingly like a pit. American bull dog mixes too. And the list goes on and on. Even if it is a Pit Bull, every dog is an individual and deserves an individual evaluation.
Lot's of dogs have prey drive, and will chase or kill small animals. I work at a shelter, and work with dogs, and have my whole life. It's what I do. In my experience, Pit Bulls are no more dangerous than any other large breed dog. I see many breeds that are reactive to other dogs, especially small dogs that are easily mistook for cats. But this is not a characteristic unique to pit bulls. It is an individual characteristic.
And here is a little more education for you, as it does'nt seem like you bothered to educate yourself before posting. Pit bull is not even a breed. It is a group of breeds. It includes: American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier and American Bull Terrier. You really seem to be one of those dumb as shit ppl, who believe all Mexicans are lazy, and all Black ppl want to rob you. Your stance on pit bulls is not any different than that.
