Tully ate 2 cans of tuna while I was at work last night. I mean 2 cans of tuna. I didn't notice them at first, then Pirate grabbed the remnants of one of the cans and took it into his crate when he went in for breakfast. I removed it, checked the counter, then scoured the house for the other can (it was on my bed).
Then Pirate started chomping on something hard, I checked, and it was a shard of the can. By the time I pulled the 3rd scrap of metal away from him, I scooped him up and put him back in his crate. While I was crawling around the floor trying to find the rest (it's hard to see), Tess started chomping on a piece, so she's in a crate now too. Of course, I have no idea how much Tully might have eaten. I had checked her mouth, and found no cuts, but now I'm concerned that she might have ingested some metal.
Who has to worry about their dog chewing through and eating cans?! Whose bright idea was it to own these crazy bull breed dogs anyway?
just a fluke you say?
cashisking chimes in:
Cash is my first bully breed AND my first dog ( Rudy had owned both bully breeds and dogs, so he convinced me into getting Cash), so I had a lot to learn as he grew.
let's not forget the westie that was killed while being boarded at the vet when the ugly frankenmauler housed next to it chewed through the kennel fence to get it.
