11.22.10 canada Debra Ogilvie was almost home when the mutant struck. Roger Jendral saw the assassin lock and load on Joey and tried to help. he used MARJI BEACH'S trick, he picked up the hind legs. that's didn't work. he then applied another MARJI BEACH technique and choked the dog off. the mutant released for a split second and then grabbed Joey again. Jendral put his entire weight on the mutant. Joey died. to make matters even worse, this particular mutant was banished from the city in 2009 after complaints of roaming and attacking other dogs. the city of white rock will determine the fate of the mutant which could mean a dirt nap but a talking head for the city said euthanasia will be a last resort. this is a fucking outrage. this pit nutter obviously can not be trusted.

canada remember Gus, the little chihuahua who was killed in the small dog park by a mutant pit bull? well, the mutant responsible (JIMI) has suddenly been transformed into a "border collie mix" and now has his own facebook page and there is a movement to spare him from a dirt nap, every flavor of kumbaya bullshit imaginable. "two wrongs don't make a right", "german shepherds have the highest bite stats", "just an unfortunate accident", "this could happen to any breed of dog", "jimi just needs training and a muzzle when he is playing at the dog park" and "aggression was not a factor". even the mayor has turned on the nuttery with the "dogs will be dogs" bullshit. i am puzzled as to the breed and gsd references if this is really a border collie. the proud and anonymous nutter who launched this latest facebook campaign admits she was not there but says Gus was not mauled, he died due to injuries he suffered from a hit. MAYOR HOBBS, a former cop, wants a "common sense" approach; "train JIMI and his owner to be sociable". one thousand people joined the facebook free jimi campaign but only 4 showed up to demonstrate. meanwhile the humane society that is accused of adopting the mutant mix is back peddling. they are certain that JIMI didn't have any of those nasty pit bull characteristics when they adopted him.
funny, a couple of honest nutters actually complained about the border collie label. here's my favorite part: jimi should be spared because his owner was told he was a border collie when he adopted jimi. WTF?
Kathy Margetis
orland park, illinois details emerging from this attack last week. 53 yr old Kathy Margetis was jogging with her wheaten terrier Seamus when a mutant pit bull, SLIPPED ITS COLLAR, ESCAPED ITS KENNEL AND JUMPED ITS FENCE and attacked Margetis and her dog during an early morning jog. a friend who was out walking her dog, heard the screams and came to her aid. they got the ugly pit bull off of the wheaten and it redirected on Margetis. Helen Kaczmarek put both dogs in a passerby's car and went back to try to save her friend. along came Sam Miuccio, he beat the mutant with a large chain and it ran off. the mutant's name is AGGIE and is described as a 40 lb staffordshire terrier, sounds like a nanny dog! the pit nutter is 34 yr old JOSHUA P. BREEN of 10231 Hickory Drive. Margetis is having nightmares and what has JOSHUA P BREEN been doing? he left an apology on her answering machine and sent her a petsmart gift card!! that ought to fix things right up.

As usual, in a lot of the comments people are still advocating for pit bulls and claiming they are no different from other dogs. Do these pit bull advocates forget what pit bulls were originally bred for? Fighting and killing other dogs! People who own pit bulls and let them run lose and kill other dogs need to be treated as though they killed the other dog themselves. They should be condemned by society and charged with animal cruelty. Anyone who chooses to own a dog bred to fight and kill other dogs should damn well understand that such dogs are a danger to other dogs and such people and need to be held completely accountable when their dog mauls other pets.
The owner of the pit bull that killed the little yorkie cross in White Rock seriously needs some jail time. That dog was known to be seriously dangerous to other dogs yet was still free! There's no excuse whatsoever for what happened.
How is JIMI a border collie cross? Pit bull - pit bull - pit bull! I look at the coat... no sign of border collie. I look at the head... no sign of a border collie. There is nothing about that dog that says there is a drop of border collie blood! The humane society that adopted that pit bull out as a border collie cross have their collective heads up their collective ass.
"People who own pit bulls and let them run lose and kill other dogs need to be treated as though they killed the other dog themselves."
i could not agree more.
Has anyone else noticed this class of pit nutter?
Hippie "mold breakers"-their psychological profile seems to be one of demonstrating love for and love from all life and shocking people (wow man can you believe that 90 lbs girl in a sun dress is walking that huge pit?)
Hippie mold breakers also like to own wolf hybrids, you know to get closer to the earth or something.
You just know you are reading about a pit attack when the words "somehow" and "scuffle" appear in an article that also includes two maulers, one of them stabbed and shot, a woman taken to the hospital for head injuries, AND a human death.
Yes, I've actually come across quite a few "hippie" types who own pit bulls and think of their dogs as being "breed ambassadors" or some other silly thing like that. It's strange since these dogs are the result of sadistic people selectively breeding dogs for a sadistic purpose and one would think a gentle hippie would not want to be associated with that sort of thing. I think hippies who own and advocate for pit bulls are attracted not so much to the actual pit bulls but to the idea of owning a questionable breed and advocating for the so-called underdog. A lot of pit bull advocates feel that pit bulls have been persecuted and they like to stick up for them for that reason. The problem is that all the innocent pets and people who have been severely mauled by pit bulls do not really affect their world view.
The problem with this general type of pit bull owner is that they tend to buy the idea that "it's all in how you raise them!" one-hundred percent. They like the idea of breaking a societal stereotype of the "vicious pit bull" with their dogs. The problem begins with the fact that, with dogs, it's not *all* in how you raise them. Partly yes, but not completely. Domestic dog breeds have been selectively bred to have different behavioral drives exaggerated. Border collies have a strong "stalk" drive, scent hounds have a strong "search" drive and sight hounds have a strong motivation to chase moving objects. Pit bull terriers are more prone than other breeds to inflict explosive, prolonged attacks on other dogs. Sometimes that does get turned on to people. That's because pit bulls were selectively bred for dog fighting. A dog fight between two pit bulls is a violent, brutal, bloody spectacle that can go on for well over an hour. More importantly, fighting dogs are only conditioned, not trained, to do what they do. Dogs bred for blood "sports" really should not be promoted as being appropriate pets. Society would not lose anything really if the breeding of these animals stopped. There would be fewer savage maulings of people and pets.
Hippy pit bull owners with a "Pollyanna" view of their dogs can be a huge problem because they think that if they don't outright abuse their pit bull, they can take it to dog parks, pet stores, or anywhere else with lots of pets and people and that their dog would never attack. However, that's gambling with the lives of other people's dogs. Honestly, if more pit bull advocates would admit that these dogs need ultra-secure kennels that are dig-proof and have roofs, should NEVER be taken to dog parks, are not dogs for families, and really should be muzzled in public I'd be less annoyed with them. But no, they don't, they act like pit bulls are 100% sweet (despite being fighting dogs!), which results in the violent deaths of so many nice dogs and even children.
For the record I do realize that individuals of other breeds can be aggressive and that there are some other rare breeds bred for aggression (Fila brasileiros, Presa Canarios). Frankly, I'm not really keen on people who promote any type of aggressive dog as family pets. It's just that pit bull owners, on average, seem to be the most reckless, stupid and/or sociopathic group out of all dog owners. That's just the way it goes - normal people don't want fighting dogs as pets and only lunatics will be attracted to such animals.
Lunatics or really naive people, I should say. The odd decent person gets convinced to own a pit bull by some advocates but such people can be called naive. Really, it's silly to think fighting dogs = good pets.
The problem with Pits is that they break containment and attack at rates 14 times more than other breeds. Pits are currently displacing other breeds out of canine weight pulling competitions just like they did in dog fighting and meth lab guarding. This translates into regular chain breaking, fence jumping, door bustin and leash slippin incidents with the nutter expressing stupification to the news camera.
The ethereal nutters with good intentions are a public safety risk believing that their special power over the animal can trump genetics.
PREVENT THE DEED....
"Society would not lose anything really if the breeding of these animals stopped. There would be fewer savage maulings of people and pets."
Which is why there really is no argument here. Normal, thinking people don't want maulings; the anti-BSL people don't care if maulings continue. So why is their point of view even considered in this debate? Why doesn't society just label them the idiots that they are and ban these dogs?
The Canton Texas story gets uglier by the minute.
First, my attacking pit bull was also named Baby Girl so the dog's name got my attention. It appears that the light of reason may be dawning in Texas. The television news anchor started her story with the remark "news of yet another pit bull attack". The nutter owner excuses the attack as a "dog fight." No sane person can accept a pit mauling in progress as a "dog fight." The nutter boldly blames the victim, "he over reacted and it killed him." The law enforcement officers who were at the scene call the victim a hero, but the nutter blames the hero for his own death. Every time you think you have seen the boldest and most irresponsible nutter... a new one comes along that just takes your breath away.
"Other dogs"....
That Pit Cracker has dogfighter written all over him!
F Minus to the media for giving the defeated nutter a platform.
The extreme pit nutter "logician" will deny the numbers indicating there is a problem with the breed. They say it is just media bias or that pit bulls get misidentified. They just assert this and are smug. I think they feel they are the only people aware of the concept of confounding. Of course, they don't know that word. This is why they go on about "educate yourself" and use the word "ignorant" ten times a paragraph. If there is confounding, they need to find a way to correct the numbers for it and demonstrate their method. Otherwise, talk is cheap.
If the extreme pit nutter admits that pits are damaging people and pets at the reported numbers, they invoke a different type of confounding. It isn't the breed, it is that this breed tends to attract low-lifes that abuse the animal and/or are irresponsible (I happen to agree with this, but would include more owners in this set than the average pit nutter would). These nutters are obsessed with "fault" in situations (it isn't the dog's fault, it is this and this thing's fault). These nutters will add in that the pits are just very strong also. These several things make it "not the pit's fault". If they can't identify abuse or irresponsibility in an owner, they will just blindly assert that it must be there, because in their world those are the only conditions in which such things happen. It is a No True Scotsman logical fallacy (updated to No Truly Well-trained and Taken Care of Pit).
If we grant the extreme nutters that recognize that pits are doing some bad stuff their dream world where it is all outside circumstances and not the breed, they want to slowly try to change society while these dogs continue to kill and maim. Why do they want to go this route? They are selfish and unclear about what rights are in our society.
Michael Miller, the pit owner in the Canton, TX case, should be charged with involuntary manslaughter - the appropriate charge for negligence resulting in death. It does not matter if the decedent succumbed to a heart attack; there is an abundance of case law to support charges. i.e., cardiac arrest during a robbery, cardiac arrest while fleeing or fighting fire resulting from arson or negligence, and now... a cardiac arrest resulting from an off property pit bull attack.
Canton, TX... Do the right thing!
Anyone out there with pit bulls around in their neighborhood, DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO.
These dogs will stop at nothing to kill your pets, your family, your children, and the vermin who own them will blame you and get an ineffectual, mentally deficient animal control officer (who may well be breeding or fighting these dogs themselves) to protect their fighting dog.
This is a war. STEP UP THE DEFENSE! Prevent a tragedy.
The pit bull fanatics want to fundamentally redefine the very definition of companion animal and permanently alter America's relationship with domestic dogs. They want us to accept dangerous dogs as part of our community. They want to convince us that ALL domestic dogs are ticking time bombs ready to explode, and only with lots of training, handling, and proper containment will ANY dog be a safe pet. That's a bald faced lie.
For those of us who grew up in the 60's and 70's....before the rise of the pit bull as "pet"...we remember when MOST dogs were not responsibly owned by todays pit bull apologist standards. How did I grow up in a neighborhood, before leash laws, with lots of untrained, un-neutered, loose dogs....along with all of us unsupervised kids....and no one was hurt? Dog fights were a regular occurance, we kids broke them up....yet no one was bitten! Oh, sure, there was the occasional child nipped by my neighbor's cranky collie, or chased and nipped while bike riding by the local yappy mini schnauzer; but no broken skin, no stitches, no emergency room visits. What was so different back then?
Dogs fought, especially unneutered males, but didn't really hurt each other, and NO dog ever killed another dog. The mutts of my childhood never really hurt anyone. German Shepherds and German Shepherd mixes were popular, also, and roamed loose with us kids...even as kids we knew they would protect their own, so no one messed with that little girl around the corner, because her dog Major was always with her; but Major was fine with everyone otherwise, and knew the difference between kids playing and a threat. There were also collies, retrievers, spaniels, huskys, setters and lot of Heinz 57 mixes.
No dogs were formally "trained", no dogs were supervised, and neither were the kids....yet we all coexisted peacefully. What changed since then?...the introduction of dangerous dog breeds into the "pet" population. No one in the humane movement wants to admit this...instead, they want to label all dogs as potential killers, and Americans are letting them. What changed is the fact that pit bulls and other muscle dogs became popular with gangs and other criminals back in the 80's, and these dogs started flooding municiple shelters and ended up back in the pet population. These dogs were never meant to be pets, or to coexist in neighborhoods like the beloved dogs of my childhood. I bitterly resent what pit bull advocates have done...they have demeaned, degraded, and defiled the true beauty of the nature of domestic dogs and their relationship with us and other dogs. We can never live like we lived before, with kids and dogs growing up together, friends and companions and protectors. The popularity of the pit bull has put an end to that.
Sorry for the multiple posts...Craven, can you delete some? Blogger was not responding, so I kept submitting.
your lucky you published multiples instead of none! i have typed out long responses, hit publish and it's gone. very frustrating. blogger has bugs so if you type a long comment, might want to copy and paste it into your clipboard before hitting publish.
Excellent recollections of how it was, Anonymous! That’s how it was in big cities, the suburbs and out in the country. Some of my recollections of all these dogs are surprisingly fresh.
There was an older black lab named Gus that greeted me everyday on my way to elementary school. He hung around with his owner at a welding and fabrication shop. He greeted me every morning on one corner of the block, and trotted back to the shop after escorting me to the next corner. On the way home, I often stopped to play fetch with Gus on the sidewalk, and then I’d sit down so this 70 lb. dog could try to fit in the lap of a 50 lb. kid. Gus leaned into my bear hugs and we generally wound up on the ground.
And remember the campus dogs? Look in your high school year books or at Polaroids from college. They were everywhere, usually sporting a bandanna. Labs, goldens, shepherds, collies, spaniels and every mix of their kinds made appearances. Sometimes they were with someone; otherwise they were loafing in the area while their owner was in class. At home, our fence and gates were junk for dog containment, but it was no big deal. I’d be half way to school or walking out of class when, suddenly, here comes my dog! The only time she became an issue was when an algebra teacher was interrupted by laughter as she started to run and bark in her sleep… LOUD!
Now people have pit bulls. Where I once threw training bumpers into the surf, the beach was closed to all dogs thanks to pit bull attacks and the notion that you couldn’t single out a problem breed. You could no longer just throw a Frisbee for a dog at practically any park – you had to find a “dog park,” and subject your normal dog to idiots and their pit bulls. Pit bulls have diminished America’s appreciation, relationship and fun with dogs. Pit bulls were never “America’s Dog,” they were the ruin of dogs in America.
Anonymouses or anonymi (no proper plural here?),
Thanks for an emotional post that combats the pit nutter CRAZY emotionally-based arguments. I remember when leash laws weren't so tight when I was a kid, and I had no real fear of dogs. I remember no dogs really hurting anyone at all. The only dog breed I'm afraid of is the pit bull. I get a little nervous around the "giants" like great danes, but can warm up to them. I will never trust a pit bull or pit mix. I was not afraid of pit bulls until I went to dog parks and saw them interact (and fight).
Here's a random thought, why does it not give pit nutters pause that an organized group of people opposes them so much? Has there been any dog in history with this? Do they not think that perhaps several thousand people might be onto something?
My experiences growing up were pretty much the same as what was related here. Leash laws weren't tight, and it didn't matter. Nobody had pits as pets in any neighborhood I frequented. There were some dobies, but most people didn't let them run loose. Dogs roamed and mingled freely with kids. Dogs didn't kill other dogs, and they damned sure didn't put any kids I knew in the hospital. What pit and rott nutters have done to the reputation and bloodlines of normal mutt dogs is utterly criminal. So many damned pit mixes now, you have to really watch it.
I find it rather humorous that according to you haters the only people that should have their dogs leashed is us nutters. The first incident in your frankinmauler roundup is a shining example. Had the cocker been on a leash that dog would still be alive.
I can't tell you "people" how many times my leashed dogs have been confronted walking in the park by unleashed dogs. Usually of the smaller breeds. I have had to on numerous occasions asked folks to watch their freaking toy dogs. Responsibility knows no breed boundaries.
Anon 6:31, you have some piss poor reading comprehension skills if you think anybody here is saying that the only dogs that belong on leashes are pits. Then again, you're a pit nutter, part of a demographic with historically piss poor reading comprehension skills, and lacking in any comprehension skills for that matter.
What people have been saying is that nutters try to paint all dogs as being as dangerous and bloodthirsty as their pits, when it's not the case at all. They try to claim all canines are dangerous and should never be trusted around other dogs or children, when that simply is NOT the case with normal dogs.
And you're missing half of the equation in the first case presented in the frankenmauler roundup. True, the cocker spaniel should have been on a leash. I guarantee you, had those been labs, beagles, Irish setters, or just about any breed of dog OTHER than fighting dogs, that dog would still be alive. Normal dogs don't drag other dogs under a fence by the nose just because it tried to sniff them. Normal dogs recognize sniffing as normal canine social behavior. Fighting dogs are the sociopaths of the dog world, much like their misanthropic owners are sociopaths in the human world.
My reading skills are quite up to par thank you.
Your statement that children can be left with "normal dog breeds" is one of the most irresponsible statements I've read. No small child should ever be left alone with a dog of any breed. That statement alone makes the rest of your tirade just as easily dismissed.
Your response to me in your first paragraph is exactly what one would expect from a hater.
To the shit for brains pit nutter....only a pit owning moron who doesn't have children, (or is your typical 20 something out-of-wedlock breeder) thinks that normal families can own a family dog and "never" have the dog alone with the kids. In the real world no one can live that way....unless the dog is kept locked in a crate or in the basement or chained in the yard all day (like many pit owners do). Normal people use the bathroom, answer the door, and move freely around the house, along with the kids and family dog. And millions upon millions of Americans grew up with dogs this way...completely unsupervised, and attacks were a RARE occurance.
You pit nutters are too stupid to understand the real history of the family dog....when I grew up, dogs were companions, pets, friends; they were NOT soul mates, penis extenders, political statements, or replacements for healthy human relationships. Despite the lack of spaying and neutering, and a lot of random, indiscriminate breeding, there was STRONG selective pressure to produce friendly, stable family pets. Back then, if your dog attacked and bit a neighbor's kid in an unprovoked attack, your father put the damn dog down THAT DAY. The dog didn't go to "rehab" or a "sanctuary"...the Tia Torres's of the world didn't exist. The mentally ill pit bull "advocates" didn't start campaigns to "save" aggressive, dangerous dogs. That something new, that the pit bull fanatics began.
Dog owners across the country are losing our rights and being banned from public spaces because dangerous dog advocates...primarily pit bull advocates....want Americans to accept that dangerous dogs are "normal". They are not, and anyone who has lived on this earth for 5 or more decades knows this to be the truth.
To Dude....LOL at the campus dog. We had one big husky who lived in town, and would regularly "break containment"...not to attack anything, but to wander across campus to our dining hall, and wait outside for handouts. We had a soft serve ice cream machine students passed on the way out; they would often give him the rest of their ice cream. He became affectionately known as Cone dog. He knew when mealtimes were, and we would find him asleep outside...he became so fat, he could barely walk, and we would occasionally walk over to check him.. "Cone dog, you OK?" to make sure he was still breathing and hadn't passed away.
Remeber Frat dogs? I remember a fraternity that adopted a big Shepherd mix who was a stray. He always was a perfect gentleman at Frat parties, and understood that he was to allow all these strangers in; but he was an incredible watch dog during the day, when the kids were at classes, and would never let a stranger through the door. They never had to lock it. He had intelligence, and discernment, and an excellent memory for people.
Those were the days before the introduction of pit bulls redefined Americas relationship with dogs. Pit nutters are incapable of understanding this, because they are so psychologically damaged. The above idiot calls us haters, when we clearly are people who love DOGS, and will not accept the continued breeding of dogs designed to kill other dogs.
"dogs were companions, pets, friends; they were NOT soul mates, penis extenders, political statements, or replacements for healthy human relationships. "
i like this!
When I was a kid back in the 70's we all had muts wandering the neighborhood with us. When a new neighbor moved in and had a rather territorial young German Shepherd that ran out of the yard to bite (one bite, not maul) a kid on the leg THAT was a big deal and we all considered that an aggressive dog that needed to be contained. The thinking surrounding dogs has definitely changed. I worry about the popularity of Pit Bulls growing even more since there is so much media supporting the idea that only bad owners create aggressive Pit Bulls and that they are wonderful family pets (I am astounded at the numbers of Pits I see at local dog parks and for that reason only take my dog early on weekend mornings to avoid them). Yet no one says the owners cause Collies to herd or Beagles to chase rabbits and I don't understand why this contradiction is almost absent from the public conversation and can only be found on blogs.
To M, I ask the same question constantly. Everyone seems to accept breed specific behavior in every other dog breed except pit bulls. Conventional wisdom says if you live in a condo and can't have a "barky" dog, don't get a Sheltie. If you want a dog thats reliable off leash, avoid beagles and greyhounds, as scent and sight hounds will follow their nose and eyes and not you. A Cairn terrier will dog up your garden, a Blue Tick coonhound will bay (loudly), a border collie will try and herd cars, kids, and anything else that moves. A Lab will drive you crazy bringing you tennis balls to throw; a Chow will be aloof, while a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel will be warm and friendly.
There are multiple websites, books and articles written by dog trainers and experts advising people to choose a dog breed that matches their life style based on
breed characteristics. So why is it that the science of genetics and heritable behavior traits does not apply to pit bulls? How can that possibly make sense?
Anonymous 7:02,
You are a shining example of the Dunning Kruger effect.
The post to which you replied did not stipulate "leaving a dog alone with a child". It said trusting. To have a child in the same room with a dog (even with adults present) with the dog not muzzled or caged requires a certain amount of trust. I would not trust a pit bull in the same room attended with a child because this breed is known to attack children without warning and to be especially difficult for an adult to dislodge from the child. Pits are the ones known to fight after being shot and not let go until dead.
Like I said, anon 7:02, you have piss poor reading comprehension skills. The only exercise you seem to get is jumping to conclusions about what you think people are saying, not what they actually said. My phrasing was "trusted around other dogs and children". Your misfiring synapse somehow turned that around to advocating leaving dogs alone with small children. If you're going to even attempt to dismiss what somebody says, it's a really good idea to respond to what they actually said. Otherwise, you look like a moron trying to set up a transparent straw man argument. Wait, that's exactly what you are. Never mind. :D
Anon 8:53 answered your idiocy more than adequately.
"Had the cocker been on a leash that dog would still be alive."
Had the dogs on the other side of the fence not been pit bulls, it wouldn't have happened! Get it, imbecile? You expect that someone shouldn’t let their normal dog walk with them while their hands are full so they can take out the fucking garbage? Is it the victim's fault for not using caution on par with working around a lion cage because pit bulls were present? Let me put this in some fucking perspective, asshole. If I fire a gun down range, is it my responsibility to make sure no one can get hit, or is it everybody else’s job to get out of the fucking way? If someone owns a pit bull, shouldn’t they contain it in a way that no harm can come from it, or is it everybody else’s job to get out of the fucking way?
You've proven the point made in this thread! Pit bull owners require everybody else to change their behavior to accommodate their ugly fucking maulers. People used to safely enjoy their well behaved, normal dogs off lead. It wasn’t “irresponsible.” Now it is “irresponsible” because cock suckers like you think society should put up with your dangerous, piece of shit pit bulls.
“I have had to on numerous occasions asked folks to watch their freaking toy dogs.”
Why, because you own pit bulls? I can travel along with my dogs, on lead or off, without a fucking worry in the world about someone else’s dogs approaching. Know why, stupid? Because they’re not like your fucking fighting breed, asshole. The most aggressive one of my dogs has been was to knock a pissy, persistent little dog down with a snap, then pen it with his forelegs while threatening with a snarl. I stopped the whole show down with nothing more than, “No! Here!” and nobody got hurt. FYI, that’s a normal dog “fight”.
“No small child should ever be left alone with a dog of any breed.”
Jesus Christ, you’re a fucking idiot! What about the seizure alert dogs, the companion guides for autistic children, and the millions of children in the constant company of dogs across America every God damn day?! Enter pit bulls into society – the breed that kills and mutilates more children and pets than all other types combined – now everybody has to subscribe to these new definitions of responsibility to suit the pit owning fuck-wads? News flash, shit-for-brains: The murder of a child by pit that I’m familiar with didn’t happen in the absence of a parent. The pit bull launched its deadly attack right in front of a parent, and broke the child’s neck before they could even react. The parent being “right there” didn’t cause the child to be any less dead, so fuck you shit-bag. The definiton of “irresponsible ownership” means owning a pit bull more than anything else. Rearrange every fucking definition of what is responsible or irresponsible all you want, and pit bulls will still kill at an exponential rate compared to other breeds.
Most people used to be “irresponsible” under present definitions. Neighbor’s dogs got into squabbles, neighbors got into tiffs if a child was nipped, but mutilation and mayhem weren’t in our vocabulary with regard to “dogs.” And for that, a heart felt “Fuck You!” to all the pit bull owners from this dog lover.
(No shit; I’m a well mannered, fair and friendly person until I read comments from these fucking pit owners. Then all I want to do is twist these pencil dicks into a ball and slam dunk them into a dumpster. May Wu’s hog pen be their final destination!)

Amen, Al. I can't imagine not leaving my kids alone with their dog. She is their best friend and their protector and she has been since she was 12 weeks old. I have no fear that she would ever intentionally hurt them. She is not a pit bull and killing just isn't in her nature.
It's funny, I was reading a blog today called "T2, Life with Pit Bulls" (I think, I happened across it while searching for curtains on Google) written by 2 idiots who own 2 "adopted" maulers in Chicago. The blog is dedicated to "dispelling the myths" about living with pits and glorifying their 2 frankenmaulers. They're the 2 ugliest dogs I've ever seen, both cropped and scarred.
The dogs are incessantly referred to as children and "sisters" and "siblings" and the owners constantly affirm their superior ownership and ability to control their maulers. But they also discuss the fact that one of the dogs is dog-aggressive - always aggressive toward "small, fluffy dogs" and "leash-aggressive" toward all other dogs. It also redirects aggression to the other dog (you know, its "sister").
And the female owner admits to being small and walking 2 unmuzzled pits. She goes on and on in multiple posts about all of the people who approach her and her dogs with their dogs and calls them stupid - in one post she refers to the fact that she can't escape an oncoming dog because there were also dogs behind her and her dog was riled up. Oddly, she also calls the people who cross the street stupid (and cowardly). But she loves her fellow pit owners, apparently they are da bomb.
They, and those like them are the voice of educated pit owners everywhere. They expect us to keep our dogs on short leashes or not to take them out at all in order that their pits not be antagonized. They expect to view a small dog barking and nipping at a large dog in the same light as a pit bull tearing the head off a cocker spaniel. In short, as Al said so succintly, they expect us to "get out of the way" or be prepared to suffer the consequences.
I hate them all.
Al,
You gave that pit nutter a new asshole with that post. Good work. Your next task is to try to teach them a bit about probability so that they know that lab biting someone and their pit not does not invalidate a study with 1,000 data points.
Al, I think I love you.
And you are dead on regarding small dogs. Pit owning assholes HATE small dogs because they know their unstable aggressive mutants can't respond normally to a small dog challenging their dog, and will kill it. That will cause headaches for THEM, so they rail against those "aggressive" toy dogs. Because they don't own normal dogs, they don't get it.
I walk everywhere with my dog, and we have been accosted a hundred times by tiny terrors, both on and off leash. My 70+ pound dog usually ignores them, and gives me the "What the fuck is his problem?" look while little Napoleon yaps at his heels. NORMAL dogs get it.
In fact, my neighbors certifiably crazy dog aggressive JRT, who flips out at the sight of my dog, growls, lunges and does back flips trying to get at him while tied up, got off leash and came into my yard, pushing his luck....my dog pinned the little shit quickly, and gave him a good air snap in the face...the canine version of "Cut the shit, asshole". And it was over. THATS WHAT NORMAL DOGS DO. They don't kill other dogs.
NORMAL large breed dogs can manage small dogs without killing them. Its your good for nothing monsters that regularly kill small dogs, and then claim your dog was "provoked" because he was "barked at". You idiots have to keep making excuses for your dogs violent, abnormal behavior.
ROFLMA I just love this place Crackhoes Despairs a fun place. Entertaining reading. Nuthing but love for ya......
