Dominick J. Donovan and Jennifer C. Barisano formerly operated Pet Care Associates, a boarding kennel and attack dog training center in Luzerne Country Pa. The kennel was shut down by the State Department of Agriculture’s Dog Law Enforcement division in January 2006 after officials discovered 35 dogs had died from parvo at the facility.

In April 2006, District Judge James Tupper found Dominick J. Donovan and Jennifer C. Barisano guilty of one count each of cruelty to animals; Failing to keep their kennel in sanitary condition, failing to clean and sanitize daily (like allowing parvo to infect their kennel), failing to maintain adequate drainage in dog quarters, and failing to obtain the necessary kennel licenses. Donovan and Barisano maintained their innocence blaming a clogged drain and that veterinarians refused to treat their parvo infected dogs. The two were sentenced to 60 days in jail and $3200.00 in fines. The couple appealed the April 2006 ruling. While upholding part of the verdict, Senior Judge Carson Brown reduced the sentence ordering the couple to pay $1600.00 in fines.
Donovan and his now wife, Barisano are currently operating under k9 Control offering bomb detection and police dog training. (Ed Frawley is probably LHAO). Its doubtful that Homeland Security or police departments are knocking on their door for a donovan gripper but that's okay since there are plenty of unsuspecting dog owners like the fool who owns this 'dis-obedient' Standard Poodle.
