Bad Rap's Donna Reynolds on pit bull owners in poverty (2011):

Selling puppies to keep the lights on and feed the kids. Wouldn't you?… Giving your dog away on craigslist when too many landlords turn you away? What choice do they have? … Sleeping outside on the cold cement because local homeless shelters won't allow pets? You know you'd do the same.

Donna's "Screw-public-safety-AND-animal-welfare-in-the-pursuit-of-being-OPEN-MINDED"* Thanksgiving Blog Post seems to have inspired this nitwit in the Bay area, the home of Bad Rap:

And how about that Rocket Dog Rescue?  Not dire enough - knowing that the pits will starve if Little Miss Nitwit stops feeding them and that a whole slew of little pitties are about to hit the street, they walk away, making a mockery of their own motto.

My question is: after Rocket Dog Rescue walked away from Homeless Man hoping to continue to keep Little Miss Nitwit on the hook (feed the dogs or they'll starve), is she still buying dog food for the entire pit bull family?

Ah, here's the founder of Rocket Dog Rescue.  Turns out SHE'S GOT HOMELESSNESS IN HER FAMILY TREE.  No wonder she sees no problem with ever more starving, homeless pit bulls being born to the streets.  And it probably gives her a special tickle to keep Little Miss Nitwit paying up for an ever increasing number of homeless maulers.  Public Safety and Animal Welfare be damned!

Here's my advice: CALL ANIMAL CONTROL.

*The being open minded crap is simply a cover to legitimize backyard breeders to continue to pump out  more than 2 new pit bulls each and every minute of each and every day of the year and to allow any kind of irresponsible owner to take in as many of these surplus pit bulls as they possibly can so that the cycle can continue because Mr. & Mrs. Donna Reynolds live off the completely artificially perpetuated "plight" of the pit bull.

Huffington Post Wins the Egregious Bonehead Irresponsible Pit Bull Pandering Award

HuffPo is notorious for unabashed pit bull pandering, but now they've gone too far and have proven that twelve year old nitwits are running the show.

In a predictable Pit Bull Awareness Day fluff piece called "Your Kids And Pit Bulls Love Each Other," they throw up a couple paragraphs that regurgitate Donna Reynold's admission that the whole Nanny Dog thing is a lie.  And then, like Donna in her original admission, the twelve year olds at HuffPo minimize the significance of the lie by saying that there are just tons of photos that "prove" pit bulls are great with kids.

The HuffPo morons went the extra mile and created a slideshow of 73 photos sent in by loyal pit lovin' HuffPo readers of their children irresponsibly being allowed to hug, lie on, sit on, and ride pit bulls that, at that moment, weren't attacking the kids.

Normally I would not encourage you to scroll through this obnoxious display of flagrant disregard for a child's safety in the pursuit of pit bull propagandizing, but this time I really insist you must.  You must get to photo 61.  You will all recognize that photo of a child draped over and hugging on a pit bull because you all know that child was killed by that pit bull this year.

UPDATE: As predicted.  The tweens in charge at HuffPo have taken down the offending photo but left up the piece proving they are too stupid or too callous to care that the photos are dangerous and misleading lies.

Photo 61 shows 6 year old Nephi Selu hugging on a 2 year old pit bull named Kave whom the family described as Nephi's best friend.  You may recall that reports suggested that the reason the pit bull killed Nephi because Nephi was "riding the dog like a horse."  And you may recall that nutters from every corner of nutterland commented that obviously these parents were irresponsible because you should never let your child ride any dog.  I was staggered by the inclusion of this photo among dozens of equally offensive photos of children riding pit bulls shared with the explicit message, "pit bulls are safe."

Obviously, even though we all recognize, remember, and mourn Nephi's death, the twelve year olds at HuffPo didn't recognize the photo because they refused to look at or quickly forgot accounts of this child's death when they included him in their "pictures prove pit bulls are safe" bullshit.  They don't.  The submitter of this photo knew, though.  R C Palyo included this comment with his photo submission: "pit bull loved this boy to death!"  Even with that, the 12 year olds at HuffPo didn't get it.  And they have proven without a doubt that they seriously do not care about the victims of pit bulls.

Donna Reynolds is the literal architect of the "Nanny dogs may be a lie, but photos prove the same thing anyway so we're still good" line of propaganda.  Huge backfire, Donna.  Maybe you should pay attention to the victims and instruct your millions of mindless minions to do the same.

It is up to us to remember the victims and spread the word about the dangerousness of pit bulls because pit loving sociopaths all too easily can disregard the victims of their propaganda.  For pit bull awareness day, please spread this far and wide - this ugly, ironic oversight that was possible only because these assholes refuse to pay attention to the people killed by pit bulls.

By the way, I haven't left a comment on HuffPo because comments are moderated and my comment will never see the light of day and they will simply remove the single photograph.  They won't remove the propaganda.

a friend sent me this fun link. this clever little website draws a picture to try and match the words that you enter. for example, if you type in "righthaven" you get the malevolent internet troll. given my obsession with pit bulls, i immediately started to plug in pit bull related words. type in "MICHAEL VICK" and surprisingly you get a football player, not a dog fighter or any one of the many drawings of VICK being bitten or urinated on by a pit bull. and if you type in "pit nutter" you get a Buster Brown comic. the results were interesting, here are a few of my favorites.

first up, Ms NCRC. since DELISE packages herself as a "researcher", you would expect to see a scientist, college professor or some geek in glasses and a lab coat. but when i typed in "Karen Delise", the google artist didn't produce a drawing of a vet tech or the director of research. instead i got an APBT advocacy logo. even google recognizes DELISE for what she is, a pit bull advocate.

next up, DONNA REYNOLDS. this one caught me off guard. i was expecting a pot head or a bottle of tequila or a flakey artist. nope, google apparently knows better than i. DONNA REYNOLDS resulted in a certificate of death. ISYN.


of course, no experiment would be complete without the inclusion of the most famous BADRAP advocate of all time, DARLA NAPORA. care to guess what the google artist drew. wine? cheap jewelry? scott peterson look a like husband? nope.


finally, my favorite one of all - LEDY VANKAVAGE. i was expecting the BFAS logo or the ASPCA logo or maybe even st francis (sarcasm) but once again, google knows best. when i typed in LEDY VANKAVAGE, the artist drew the frankenstein/pit bull composite on craven desires. in the eyes of google, LEDY is not associated with helping dogs. she is associated with KILLING dogs.

btw, "FUZUPF", "JIM CROSBY" and "frankenmauler" also resulted in the frankenstein/pit bull drawing on craven desires.

DONNA REYNOLDS' reflection on the murder of DARLA NAPORA inspired another brilliant critique from anonymous.

BadRap's advocacy is a failure......if they are unable to convince their own members/supporters to be responsible owners, and do things like neuter their dogs, then how can you expect them to convince the general public?

• In the eyes of BadRap, Darla's death was worth it; a small but necessary sacrifice, the price we pay for the "privilege" of living with their beloved breed. (and I would add they see it as normal)
  

• We cannot trust pit bull owners assessment of their OWN dog's dangerousness.

• Pit bull owners/advocates seem to often be young people who lack maturity and common sense......why on earth would the Naporas own two large active dogs when they lacked secure housing? They were in a rental unit. And why would they keep these dogs in a tiny, one bedroom cottage? Why would they fail to neuter their dog?

• Pit bull "advocates" are fanatics. They are misanthropes who value the life of a pit bull as being equal to, or more important than, the life of a human. They are often bullies, who blame innocent victims of attacks for "provoking" it, and somehow deserving what they got. They lack empathy and compassion for human victims of dog attacks.

• Pit bull "advocacy" protects the dog fighters and back yard breeders who are abusing these dogs by fighting against sensible BSL to control over-breeding. Pit bull advocacy's primary function is to protect the rights of people to continue to make money off of these dogs through back yard breeding and dogfighting by protesting any and all regulation on breeders.

• Bad Rap's response to this tragedy reveals how far this groups members are from normal society. Greg Napora's ONLY public statement about this tragedy was NOT to talk about his wife...but to defend his dog and the "pit bull breed". He immediately removes his Facebook page, and while in the midst of burying his wife, is on the phone to Donna Reynolds of BadRap? Greg Napora acts like a man who is more upset that he let the members of his "cult" down, than a man who lost his wife and child. Donna Reynolds bizarre statement....that it was just a dog being a dog, essentially......is accompanied by a graphic of a woman and her pit bull walking peacefully into the sunset together. She adds insult to injury by ending her post with "R.I.P. Darla and Gunner", in perhaps the most spectacularly insensitive response to this tragedy I have seen yet.
  

• BadRap members, and other pit bull fanatics, are endangering the public by relentlessly promoting these dogs as pets, and encouraging immature, irresponsible people like Greg Napora to own and promote the breed. It could have easily been one of the Naporas neighbors who was killed.

• Its time public officials stopped listening to the dog lobby, and small groups of fanatics, and craft public policy that will restrict breeding and ownership of these dangerous dogs.

BadRap Advocate Killed by Her Own Pit Bull

32 yr old pit nutter DARLA NAPORA

the SFGate obituary states DARLA NAPORA "passed away" in her home last thursday. gee, that almost sounds like she died peacefully in her sleep or maybe even an instant painless death after falling off of a ladder, rather than the violent grisly death at her wiggle butt's gaping maws of doom. you can read the preliminary results of the investigation into DARLA'S mauling here.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to The Darla Napora Memorial Fund (i wonder if this will benefit the cause DARLA avidly supported - pit bulls?)

meanwhile, DONNA is having a tough time deciding which BADRAP t-shirt she should wear to the funeral. i vote for PIT BULL JUNKIE and maybe bring a stack of autographed copies of JIM GORANT'S book in honor of GREG'S unimaginable devotion to the breed AND the deed. i don't know many men who have the presence of mind to immediately delete a facebook account in the wake of his spouse's murder. i don't know of any man who issued a public statement defending their dog and the breed in the aftermath of his spouse's murder. and i certainly don't know of any man who would even consider burying his wife with her murderer. obviously, GREG NAPORA is a very special nutter.

That was Donna Reynold's BEFORE being added to the Jane Berkey payroll. This is Donna AFTER Berkey 'invested' in the bay area pit nutter artists. Tim sold Berkey some art and Donna sold her integrity. Donna now toes the Jane/Ledy party line and happily regurgitates the AFF/BF talking points like pit bulls are just dogs and no more aggressive than a bloodhound, cocker spaniel or tea cup poodle.

6:55 "This was the all american dog, for a long time, um, our world war two, one of our world war two dog heroes was Stubby, an old pit bull. Was his name Stubby Tim, do I have that right? I think it was Stubby, yeah. And it was just kind of everyone's dog that they had. You know, laying on the front porch, hanging out."

5:50 "Boy you didn't see or hear much about pit bulls until the 80's. But somehow in the 80's people got, people got attached to that image of them and decided that if they wanted a dog that people were afraid of, they were gonna get the pit bull." "Before that is was the doberman and the rottweiler and now it's the pit bull. It's been going for 20 years. um."

Huh? Everyone had one of these dogs in the 40's but you didn't hear much about them until the 80's? I am not sure who is dumber, Donna or the gullible audience that she spoon feeds this propaganda to. The popularity of the pit bull then as now was primarily among the lower classes who wanted a dog with the bad ass fighter reputation. People wanting these dogs for the wrong reasons didn't just begin in the 1980's. Joseph Colby addressed the pit bull's popularity in his 1936 classic 'The American Pit bull Terrier':

When the Pit Bull Terrier was introduced into America, he was more commonly found to be owned by prize fighters, saloon keepers and habitues, sporting men and the like. From the start the breed has earned an unjust reputation due to his fighting ability and the character of the owner.

At about the turn of the Twentieth Century the breed was fast becoming popular and the pit dog found his way into the homes of men from all walks of life. Dog magazines carried ads and illustrations of dogs that had earned a reputation in the pit and through this advertising many dogs were sold and fought for large sums of money.

Much of the popularity was due to the notoriety given Harry Kreiger and his dog, "Crib", Cockney Charlie and his dog "Pilot" and Johnnie McDonald's "Grip", and many other famous dogs with a reputation proven in the pit.

Furthermore, the non-pit bull owners, then as now, had a low opinion of your little frankenmaulers. Chauncy Z. Bennett contributed to Colby's book. Bennett reminisced about one of his favored mutants that he purchased in 1895:

He was a beautiful dog and never started a fight, would play with other dogs just like a puppy, but if a dog jumped on him it was just too bad. His weight was about 45 lbs, a real giant at that time. Through his life he had several street fights, always whipping the curs that jumped on him. At one time a local newspaper printed: "A few doses of cold lead would be a good thing for the always fighting bulldog."

9:00 "We were also dealing with animals that at times were going to hurt people, when they were defective. Um. Thankfully, it doesn't happen that often, it's rather rare."

RARE is when a pomeranian mix kills an infant or a west highland terrier kills an 80 yr old woman. A pit bull seriously injures or kills someone almost daily.
