The Huffington Joke

THIENVINH NGUYEN
on march 3rd, the gifted and educated columbia university student THIENVINH NGUYEN, submits a small puff piece for the huffington post titled When Man's Best Friend Is Deadly: 8 Dangerous Pets. the list of deadly animals included ostriches, kinkajou, snakes, big cats, crocodilias, spiders and of course pit bulls. NGUYEN also offers sound advice that even seasoned pit nutters would agree with: DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST.
three days and 500+ looney comments later, the baby turtle replaces the pit bull on the deadly man's best friend list.
it is incredibly sad the huffington post allows such spineless contributors in their community.

This sad pretend journalist was contacted by the Pit bull Breeder Promoter Company also known as Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, as well as the Pit Bull Staffordshire Terrier AKC breeders.

Naive Thienvinh Nguyen did not know that a BUSINESS LOBBY was bullying her into submission.

A business lobby that includes the Ku Klux Klan, who breeds and fights pit bulls to raise funds to do things like harass immigrants.

Thienvinh Nguyen and people like her pretend to be journalists, but don't have the sense to realize that Money is Manipulating them.

Unfortunately for the pit bull Promoters, the people are rising up against pit bulls because the people are getting slaughtered by pit bulls.

The pit bull Promoters can shut up a little nothing young girl just out of college and have her try to close the barn door after the cow gets out, but the public is rising in revolt as they watch their families get attacked by pit bulls.

The little turtles "potentially" carry Salmonella, which can kill a child if untreated. The CDC states that about 1.4 million cases are recorded annually in the U.S. I don't know, a scalp ripped off or a femoral artery yanked out by a pit bull's jaws -- or getting a "shot" of antibiotics once exposed to Salmonella. Which is more dangerous?

salmonella probably kills many more people than dogs but referring to turtles as MAN'S BEST FRIEND is as bizarre as referring to hamburgers as man's best friend. none of the animals listed come close to being man's best friend.

but what i find most curious is how quietly nguyen swapped them. no explanation for the swap. someone reading it for the first time has to be wondering why there are 500 comments about pit bulls in an article that doesn't mention pit bulls.

i don't see how this spineless little girl can make it in academia.

I never even heard of a kinkajou before this! And who in their right fucking mind keeps a brown recluse spider as a pet?!?!?!?!

In many states, sales of these turtles has been illegal for years.

As far as salmonella goes, salmonella from the few states that allow sales of these is negligible damage.

Most people don't die, and they certainly don't have injuries that affect them for the rest of the lives, or have a reduced life span because of it. Or years of plastic surgery. Or nightmares and mental breakdowns.

Pit bull do much more damage than turtles even come close to.

A little girl at the Huffington Post (widely thought of as a joke anyway) got jerked around.

But it's too late.

(It would not surprise me that the ignorant female Pit Bull Industry representatives at the CDC fed this little girl a pack of lies as well. The CDC has decided it is in the dog breeder public relations business, and will lie on demand to try to protect pit bulls.)

that comment about salmonella didn't come out quite right. no, i do not think turtles harm as many kids as dogs. i am puzzled by her inclusion of turtles in the category of man's best friend.

Ok. Still been trying to get it to come up.
This is what I found. Is this all of it?

Some people just love having unusual pets -- perhaps for their cuteness or the fact that they're uncommon pets. Even Paris Hilton had her own unusual pet: the kinkajou she called "Baby Luv." Well, Baby Luv sent Hilton to the emergency room twice. So, a word of caution to Hilton and all those out there who want a "different" or potentially dangerous kind of pet: some of the following animals are not meant to be domesticated.

that's it. each of the animal has a little blurb.

Bagheera Kiplingi said...

"A reported quarter million cases of samonellosis occurred annually during the 1970s -- when there was a baby turtle pet craze. Children were the most affected by such outbreaks."

In the 1960's it was the big cats. In the 1970's it was the baby turtles. In the 1980's it was the alligator. In the 1990's it was the boa constrictor and in the 2000's it was kinkajou.

See this really has nothing to the species, it's is all about popularity. ;)

That's racist! Baby turtles are the most misunderstood of all of man's best friends. The media created a lot of hysteria around those baby turtles. Many innocent baby turtles were killed because of the evil media conspiracy. They were viciously persecuted to near extinction. The majority of those baby turtles were misidentified. Most people wouldn't even know a baby turtle if it pooped it their hand! Did you know that Burt Reynolds, President Ford and Carl Sagan all had baby turtles as pets?

We must stop this madness or your salamanders will be next!!!!

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has written DIRECTLY that they are promoting pit bulls, Julz the Liar of Pit Bull blog.

Craven, as a relative of someone nearly killed by a pit bull, it is difficult for me to come here to find a chronic LIAR and crook like Julz Perry promoting her pit bull site.

Could you require that she post under a regular id, and not a link to her blog?

She has posted on a board elsewhere that she is posting comments on craven desires to get people to click on her blog link.

That's why she is here. She is promoting her blog and herself.

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary used to have over 700 dogs, including many pit bulls.

They couldn't afford to hire the help to care for them, they couldn't handle them, and they couldn't adopt out too many of these problem dogs.

So Best Friends has "downsized" meaning they have gotten rid of over 250 dogs at first, and are working to get that number lower.

No one knows where these dogs are getting dumped.

They haven't told any of their donors.

They can't even succeed at no kill at their own place. They are, in their own words, PROMOTING pit bulls and in the pit bull PROMOTION business. But they can't even handle the dogs at their sanctuary (except for the Vick dogs that came with hundreds of thousands of dollars payout)

And yet they are harassing people who are euthanizing aggressive pit bulls!

This was reported by someone who is in the no kill business, and who experienced this first hand and discussed it with managers at Best Friends.

What Best Friends is doing is criminal. They are deceiving the public about what they are doing and they are lying about their "success" in an effort to bring in money.

and yes, they are working with pit bull BREEDERS, including some very shady ones, to promote pit bulls.

We do NOT need more lies from the "Pit Bull Blog" also known as the Liar and Criminal Support blog, spreading pr about Best Friends and promoting this corrupt organization.

Best Friends also does not inform its donors and visitors that the money from ALL the merchandise sold (online, through the magazine, at the visitor center) goes directly into THE POCKETS OF THE FOUNDERS.

It is sold by a for-profit business that the founders set up.

The money does not go to "help the animals."

Another way that idiots like Julie Perry get their money stolen from them.

originally the list included pit bulls. but after the assault of the pit nutters (as evidenced by the 500 comments) nguyen replaced pit bulls with baby turtles.

anon, please send those links.

craven, Julie Perry knows exactly what the story is.

She is just promoting herself and trying to get people to pay attention to her, and unfortunately entertaining her friends discussing her playing dumb posts.

Contrary to what the pit nutters think, we are not stupid here, we can read between the lines. Might help if you nutters could come up with something new to throw us off. Until then, we call "em the way we see "em.

Perry of Pit Bull Blog, you are a liar. You lie over and over and over again, and you've been caught lying over and over and over again.

And yes, I do know something about your finances, and much much more, because I know someone very close to you.

You do know what a frenemy is right? One of those people who pretends to be your friend, but they really don't like you.

Perry, this has nothing to do with a freaking friend on facebook or myspace.

This is a "friend" in your own backyard, so to speak. Understand?

And yes, you have seen me, and I've seen you.

I know more about you than you do.
