Knox County just paid out a settlement to the family of Jennifer Lowe after she was killed by Pits that attacked a police cruiser...They were pit friendly and gave the dog back to a mentally disablled breeder with a criminal record.

Let's hope we don't see this dumbass mauler in the news again.

Nutters, I know, I know.... Car aggression is different from human aggression!

Officer David Head says the designation applied to male and female dogs owned by Charles Smallwood at a mobile home on Sam Lee Road. It went into effect in August.

Smallwood had been ordered to build a pen for the dogs and told they could only be outside if they were in the pen wearing muzzles

But wait there more...Maulspawn from the dogs that killed Jennifer Lowe were inolved in another mauling...

http://www.volunteertv.com/home/headlines/41115842.html

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Carletta Bailey's in the hospital suffering deep gashes, bite marks, and scratches to her hands, arms, and legs.

Serious injuries but she's thankful she's alive, thankful her neighbor came running to help.

There may be a connection in this case to a fatal mauling in Knox County in 2007.

Tuesday's victim, Carletta Bailey says her two neighbors dogs, Cain and Able, are the ones who attacked her.

She says that neighbor told her one of Cain's litter attacked and killed 21 year old Jennifer Lowe in west Knox County.

She says she's just glad she wasn't killed.

"I was scared to death. All I could think about was that woman in Knoxville. I'm going to die," says Bailey.

With dressings covering her numerous puncture wounds and stitches, Carletta Bailey is recovering in the hospital after being mauled outside her Caryville home around noon Tuesday.

See how breeding works Nutter?

And here's a slightly different take on it. Some people just so don't "get it", you know? How does anyone not watch that and get chills thinking about what that dog could have done to a person going by? But nope, he's a "hero" now.

-------------------------------

There were plenty of smiles today as Winston the dog finally got his day in court and permission to come home.

The boxer-bull mix is an international celebrity for his masterful mangling of a police car bumper.

All's well that ends well!

It's what the court required as the family went before city judge Sherry Paty, whose main concern was that it never happen again.

JUDGE SHERRY PATY, CITY COURT JUDGE "I know this attack was not on a person ..,but I don't want to..I don't the remote possibility of that happening."

The court stipulated that Winston will attend two different obedience courses, and he also must not be allowed to run loose. The dog is now considered potentially dangerous, but that could be dropped is there are no other problems for 6 months.

What happened next was the stuff of legends. Winston happily chewed the front bumber off a police cruiser while other dogs urged him on. Police didn't seem to know what to do. But Owner Michael Emerling says he is happy his pet wasn't harmed by police.

MICHAEL EMERING, WINSTON'S OWNER "We've seen places where dogs have done a lot less ...And been shot...we really are grateful to them for not doing that."

Police did tase Winston but he shook it off and kept going.

KAREN WALSH, MCKAMEY ANIMAL SHELTER He would not have been available for adoption had he been declared potentially dangerous...we're glad they chose to take him."

Winston, who apparently hates cars as much as he loves people, has now had his 15 minutes of fame.

Winston began life as a stray 2 years ago, but as least for now, is now an international star.

McKamey says they have been getting calls and e-mails from all over the world wishing him well.

I really do not think Winston's 15 minutes of fame is complete. He's definitely going to be a repeat offender. But by that time, he may no longer be named Winston nor even live in Tennessee, the US's top creator of police cruise attacking pit bulls.

A pancake without butter!

Pit Bull Continues Attacking After Being "Run Over" by Police Cruiser
Glendale, AZ - It was reported Monday that Glendale police shot and killed two pit bulls after the dogs tried to attack a boy and the officers. In addition to pit bulls being able to withstand multiple shots from a police handgun or shotgun; heavily beaten by baseball bats; repeatedly stabbed with a two-prong barbecue fork or thrown off a six-story roof; pit bulls are so pain intolerant1 that even being run over by a 4,020 pound police vehicle will not stop a pit bull in "attack" mode.

PIT BULL CONTRIBUTION TO SOCIETY OF THE DAY:

To be fair Pit Bulls have helped mankind achieve some amazing things. Meet Mollie, the first horse to receive an artifical leg, compliments of a Pit Bull!

http://www.hoax-slayer.com/prosthetic-leg-pony.shtml

Meet Molly. She's a gray speckled pony who was abandoned by her owners when Katrina hit southern Louisiana, USA . She spent weeks on her own before finally being rescued and taken to a farm where abandoned animals were stockpiled. While there, she was attacked by a pit bull terrier, and almost died. Her gnawed right front leg became infected and her vet went to LSU for help. But LSU was overwhelmed, and this pony was a welfare case. You know how that goes.

But after surgeon Rustin Moore met Molly, he changed his mind. He saw how the pony was careful to lie down on different sides so she didn't seem to get sores, and how she allowed people to handle her. She protected her injured leg. She constantly shifted her weight, and didn't overload her good leg. She was a smart pony with a serious survival ethic.

http://www.dogsbite.org/blog/2008/01/new-type-of-surgery-used-for-dog-attack.html

forget that paula ybarra nearly died and due to medical bills, she lost her house. paula ybarra is famous, she made it into medical history. paula's attack led to the development of a new surgical technique. the pit nutter should share in that fame. without him, she would be nothing. alive, whole and in her her house but nothing. poor pit nutter, so devastated by her betrayal, he committed suicide.

Do you see how the dog breeders have weakened dangerous dog laws?

They push for records to be WIPED CLEAN

This is what pit bull breeders like AKC breeder Holly Stump in Ispswich Massachusetts push for. Weak dangerous dog laws that just let dangerous dogs do it again.

NO dangerous dog should EVER have its record wiped clean.

And now the city will get sued when this dog kills someone.

Judge Sherry Paty will have blood on her hands, and SHE should pay the award instead of the taxpayers.

I like how the NORMAL dog keeps his distance and just barks. Nice contrast. But I agree, the cops should have run this dog over, then finished it off with a bullet.

The owners initially thought the dog was dangerous. The owners initially expressed concern about the potential damage done to human flesh. The owners initially seemed to think the dog should have been shot by police.

And then fame came a knocking.

Winston has too much cachet now, it would be a wasted dirt nap. The Emerlings own the famous WInston, he can be scene all over the internet destroying a police cruiser. This is a once in a lifetime dog for nothing hillbilly.

"Yup, thatz ma dawg!"

Devastated by her betrayal? No. Try he had severe depression since high school and my mothers attack played a tiny role in it. Also, without the dogs my mom would be nothing? She would be healthy. She wouldn't have to take certain meds every day for the rest of her life. Our lives would be a million times better if it didn't happen. I'm the only person who witnessed it and remembers it. Imagine being in a position like that. Imagine being a 4year old and being the only person who can tell everyone what happened in that house. It sucks. I wish it never happened. So sure, maybe she wouldn't be well-known but honestly our lives would've been better if it didn't happen.

hello paula's daughter, i apologize for the delay in publishing. i don't check in here daily anymore.

i also apologize that my comment about fame offended you. my tone is one of sarcastic anger and it is not intended to harm victims of these canine psychopaths. it is the my way of dealing with this intolerable situation.

let me know if you would like me to delete the comment.
