Maryland, South Dakota, Utah and Missouri are about to discover that they made a deal with the devil.
LEDY VANKAVAGE has been busy successfully pushing her dangerous agenda on gullible legislators who in turn are unwittingly putting their constituents at risk. The legislators are buying into her wicked game hook, line and sinker in spite of the fact that pit bulls just keep on killing at a staggering rate.
Two pit bull fatalities occurred in Texas this year and word about them is just now getting to the public thanks to outspoken doctors. The group of courageous doctors in Texas is once again trying to sound the alarm about the gripping dog problem. Almost 100 people have been killed by grippers since their study was published in April 2011. Will anyone listen this time or will we be talking about the next 100 people to die by grippers in April 2017?

Community Protection Act
![]() | |
EARL KENNETH SHRINER |
On May 20, 1989, a 7 year old boy was raped, stabbed, sexually mutilated and left for dead in a park in Tacoma, Washington. The next day, police arrested Earl Kenneth Shriner, a violent sex offender who was well known to the authorities for violent sex crimes dating back 24 years.
What was so unusual about this particular crime and this predator that they earned a mention on this blog? Shriner openly talked about his deranged fantasies of rape and torture. The authorities were well aware of the extreme danger Shriner posed to the community and they were frustrated that there was nothing they could do about it.
Not surprisingly, when those details were made public in the days after Shriner's arrest, there was massive public outrage. This outrage was channeled into a victim advocacy group. They called themselves The Tennis Shoe Brigade and they demanded that lawmakers pass laws making communities safer. And they got it.
In 1990, Washington State legislators unanimously passed the first sexual predator law that allowed the state to lock someone up indefinitely in an effort to protect the community from future crimes they MIGHT commit.
Over the next 25 years, nineteen states passed similar laws and of course legal challenges claiming the laws were unconstitutional were close behind. Funny, each time the laws were challenged, the courts upheld the right of the state to protect the community from violent predators.
The tragic story of the 7 year old Tacoma boy and Earl Shriner seems out of place here, yet there is a ring of eerie familiarity.
Hardly a day goes by where I do not read or hear about situations where people complain to the authorities about loose and menacing dogs but the response from law enforcement and animal control is "Sorry, we can't do anything until after the dog bites." And of course, everyone's favorite, "Sorry but we have to witness the violation."
It is hard to imagine an incident more horrific or more preventable than the brutality Earl Shriner inflicted on that 7 year old Tacoma boy in 1989. Yet an even more egregious example of the unnecessarily tragic limitations of our laws has been playing out in Dayton, Ohio since February 7, 2014. Enter the story of Klonda Richey.
For the last couple of years Klonda Richey did not feel safe on her own property. The complaints to her violent felon neighbor ANDREW NASON about his vicious dogs were not only ignored by NASON but also ignored by the Montgomery County Dog Warden when the violations were not witnessed by acos. Klonda's paper trail of well documented complaints seemed to only escalate the tension with NASON and his vicious killer dogs. Threats and intimidation by NASON were captured on video surveillance. The police advised Klonda to seek a protection order and the magistrate, for whatever insane or political reason, denied her request. As a result, Dayton has a dead woman it needs to explain.
The $64,000 questions is: Why do dangerous dogs have more rights than dangerous humans?
If we as a society can lock human beings up indefinitely to prevent future crimes they might commit, why on earth can't we take similar actions against dangerous DOGS? Why are dogs afforded this ridiculously excessive burden of proof?
The murder of Klonda Richey should be a wake up call. I hope the good people of Ohio can channel their outrage into something as productive as The Tennis Shoe Brigade and just maybe, we will see the rest of the states fall like dominoes.

LEDY, i thought you and JANE and the evil genius KAREN DELISE, would like to see the latest results of your handiwork.
obviously these killers were not chained, not starved, not abused, not neglected, not trained to fight, not deprived of affection, not deprived of positive interaction but loved cherished family members.
and an honorable mention to that coward in the white house too.

craven state of the union
2013 is proving to be a banner year for pibble. seventeen people killed by dogs, 16 of them by some kind of ugly gripping mutant and one GSD. yep. if it ain't pit, it ain't shit.
BADRAP grew a pair and declared the "nanny dog" to be an innocent myth.
Farmers Insurance ended coverage of pit bulls, as well as rotts and wolf hybrids. expect more to follow suit.
long time defender of gripping dogs, ED BOKS admitted that pit bulldogs are disproportionately problematic and their numbers need to be controlled.
Dog Bite Attorney Kenneth Phillips, who is typically moderate on the subject of breed, has introduced the possibility of a Pit Bull Recall.
nutters no longer dominate the online comments. normal people are organizing and coming out in force to add their voice to the growing resistance of grippers in our communities and for good reason - more and more people are clashing with nutters and their purpose bred dogs. it's not a pretty sight.
about once a month, someone takes the time to share their personal story with me. i received this one yesterday.
I thought I would take a little break from pit bulls today.
First I went to the vets to pick up my black cat "lucky" who wasn't feeling so lucky after being neutered. In the waiting room, lashing out at every other dog was a snarling pit. The parasitic owner could barely manage a grasp on it's harness, and you could tell that he wanted to punch it. They were walking down the sidewalk afterwards, as I drove by. It took everything I had not to yell my trademark "get a real dog, pussy!"...my little angels were all with me at the time.
I decided to surprise the kids with a trip to the beach. I had the swim gear in the trunk so when we arrived we all took turns getting dressed in the back seat of the car. Finally, tubes inflated and life jackets fastened..we waddled toward the beach. Almost simultaneously, a young couple with an unleashed pair of maulers sprang from a nearby car and stormed the beach like Normandy. The entire time the dogs were either charging at children or attempting to fight each other. At one point, the owner decided it was appropriate to punch one of the dogs and throw it in the water. I watched from a somewhat safe distance, staring at both of the owners like I wanted to kill them. The idiots didn't decide to leave until we started walking towards our car. Which of course, put my children right in their path for the second time.
Time to dry up and stop at wal mart on the way home. At least they are still pit bull free...that is, aside from the unattended mutant in a minivan. The windows were rolled completely down, as the dog anxiously jumped from seat to seat. A middle-aged, pig-skank lady of an owner eventually returned to the van with 2 cases of mountain dew, and six bottles of bleach. Goodie.
Let's go home and unload our groceries....oh, I almost forgot that I will be greeted by the guttural cackles of vicious fucking dogs in my own backyard. The world has gone pit bull crazy.
and nutters wonder why we hate them and their dogs. people should not have to live like this.

doing what comes naturally

photo caption: Jade and Bear AAAH this is the life
JADE and BEAR the misunderstood mushy wiggle butts, owned by responsible pit bull mommy BARBARA ERB. i don't usually blog about fatal attacks but the comments made by ERB'S husband really disturb me. THOMAS FOWLER says there was a struggle over keys and the dog did what comes naturally, KILL A FAMILY MEMBER.
"She came home high again, her daughter, went to attack my wife and her own dog attacked her, JADE and the police had to shoot the dog cuz the dog wouldn't release her. He swung around, knocking a mirror over and a lamp, her daughter and the dog reacted to it. And unfortunately it ended the way it did. She wasn't a bad person, she was just messed up and we tried helping her." when asked if he was close to his dogs FOWLER gets choked up and says "Yeah, well I was, they were like my family, ya know. And unfortunately we were close to her daughter but how much can you give somebody help. We didn't want this to happen."
notice FOWLER'S repetitive use of language to distance himself from the victim, "her daughter". notice how he chokes up ONLY when talking about the DOGS.
the ERB/FOWLER family hope to get the four pits back that were not involved in the attack.
Fowler says the family owned six pit bulls, all of whom were friendly, nonaggressive pets, which can be viewed here.

Anataisa Bingham killed by pit bulls

terry, mississippi Anataisa Bingham would have turned 7 tomorrow but her life was cut short when she decided to take advantage of the snow day friday. Anataisa was killed by one of several pit bulls that were normally "chained in the woods" behind a nearby home when she went to a friend's house across the street.
the dog responsible for Anataisa's death has scars consistent with dog fighting. no charges have been brought yet as they are still looking for the owner who will face charges although they not yet what those charges will be. the owner could face DEPRAVED HEART MURDER charges. Depraved-heart murder is defined as causing death by an act so reckless that it shows lack of regard for human life.
