Taiwan Jones

Oakland Raider cornerback Taiwan Jones was walking his two pit bull mixes, apparently without leashes, when they rushed 12 yr old Chula, killing her during her routine evening walk. Chula's 50 yr old owner is traumatized. Jones' killers are in quarantine during AC's investigation. Meanwhile, Jones' agent released the following the statement
"It was a tragic accident and he feels terrible about it. It's never happened before. He's sick over this, no question."

Plaxico Burress

UPDATE!
Plaxico Burress is being sued, AGAIN. The Barney Fife of the NFL is in trouble this time for the damage done by his pit bulldog during a pit wilding episode. Burress' neighbor was mauled while taking a walk in her neighborhood last May. The victim claimed that "she suffered serious injuries to her head, body, and limbs and that she suffered severe pain and mental anguish" as a result of his negligence. Black Sports On Line is siding with the convicted felon, claiming this is just a money grab.

Plaxico Burress was released from prison June 6, 2010 after serving almost 2 years for gun possession and reckless endangerment. In November 2009, the proud pit bull owner was illegally armed while clubbing in New York. When the gun started to slip, he reached for it and shot himself. Burress' home in New Jersey was searched a month later. The police found a 9mm, a rifle, ammo and the clothes he wore during his famous OOPS moment.

Previous legal troubles

Two domestic distance calls resulted in a temporary restraining orders.

Plaxico Burress has been named in at least 9 civil lawsuits since he joined the NFL in 2000. My favorite was the December 2008 car accident. Burress rear ended another car with his $140,000 Mercedes Benz. Burress had no insurance, it had been canceled 3 days prior to the accident for failing to pay the premium.

Bryce Brown

The 22 year old has been the running back for the Philadelphia Eagles since 2012. In 2008, Brown received the Hall Trophy for most outstanding high school football player and a couple other awards  before the Eagles drafted him to play alongside MICHAEL VICK.

On May 21st, a rural property in Fall Creek, Wisconsin was raided and 27 dogs were seized. The property (Northland Pits at E19252 Scenic Drive) is owned by JOSEPH A SUDBRINK. A female and her 7 puppies were returned to BROWN, while the remaining dogs are still in custody. SUDBRINK was charged with mistreating animals and operating as a dog breeder without a license. A criminal investigation is ongoing.

In addition to scarring, indicative of fighting and "yard accidents", some of the dogs also had ringworm and possibly other skin issues and were living in substandard housing. SUDBRINK had his vet examine the dogs, who are in the care of Eau Claire County Humane. The vet found the pit bulldogs had "dirty ears" and demanded they be returned before they die from a lethal dose of ear wax.

Brown claims to engage in "extreme agility" and posted a video. A quick look at his extensive list of facebook "friends" reveals pit bulldog apologists like SCOT E DOWD and an assortment of dog fighting scum from around the world.

A deputy arriving at Chelton Court near Irmo shortly after midnight last Wednesday saw Jenkins punching Hudson in the face, all the time saying, “I love you.”

Jenkins' fiance is recieving treatment for non life threatening injuries that left her face unrecognizable.

Joey Porter

Pro football star Joey Porter's 4 pit/mastiff mixes somehow escaped and killed his neighbor's dog on July 2nd. This is Porter's second pit bull accident. In September 2001, his pit bulls SOMEHOW escaped a secure enclosure and killed a neighbor's miniature horse.

Other interesting facts:
Porter left the Steelers and was replaced by James Harrison, who's pit bull Patron, attacked his son and two women.

In 2008, Porter came to the defense of Michael Vick's character to advocate for his reinstatement to the NFL. In the sportsbybrooks article, Porter is described as a "pit bull expert". He then on goes to explain how he cheats the system:
”That’s the funny thing about it,” Porter said. “If you want to get back on that topic, I’ve got pit bulls and I’ve got to put them under a different breed just to travel. You can’t even fly pit bulls anywhere.”
In March 2010, Porter was also arrested for DWI and assault on a California Highway Patrol officer.
